After being on the run from a bunch of Snatchers, the gang were taken to Malfoy Manor, where Bellatrix proceeded to torture Hermione using the Cruciatus Curse. It was a testament to Hermione's toughness that she was able to walk away without lasting damage.
Out on the beach, the kids are preparing to break into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault. Hermione has taken Polyjuice Potion to transform into Bellatrix, Ron is wearing a disguise, and Harry is carrying Griphook on his back under the invisibility cloak.
Cruciatus Curse ('Crucio')
Harry tried to use this spell himself. The first time was against Bellatrix after she had killed Sirius. His attempt was unsuccessful because, as Bellatrix mockingly explained: 'You need to really want to cause pain – to enjoy it – righteous anger won't hurt me for long…'
It is a curse of torture, inflicting excruciating pain on a victim. This makes it popular among the Death Eaters for use on both fellow wizards and Muggles. Considering the fact that this curse doesn't physically harm the victim, it is possible that it only stimulates pain receptors.
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Bellatrix used her knife to carve the word "mudblood" into Hermione Granger's arm.
In the film, Bellatrix casts a blue spell at Ginny Weasley instead of a Killing Curse, who deflects it using a Shield Charm. In the book she just avoids it.
Remember in the last Harry Potter film, when Hermione takes Polyjuice Potion and magically transforms into an exact replica of Bellatrix Lestrange? Well, our real life Hermione, Emma Watson, just did the exact same thing – but on the red carpet.
Confringo. Commonly known as the Blasting Curse, Confringo causes the target to explode. To make it even more dangerous, it produces flames that ignite upon contact with the target. If Confringo fails to kill the target immediately, they will instead suffer a slow and painful death.
Harry makes use of two of the Unforgivable Curses in the books. Dueling with Bellatrix Lestrange, he attempts the Cruciatus curse, with limited results; Bellatrix says that he has to really hate someone to make the Unforgivable Curses work properly, righteous indignation isn't enough.
16. Avada Kedavra. J.K. Rowling has spoken about the root of this spell. According to Rowling, its root is actually Aramaic and derives from the original "abracadabra," which means "let the thing to be destroyed." In this case, the thing is a person.
The Killing Curse was created in the early Middle Ages by Dark witches and wizards. Primarily, the curse was used to quickly slay opponents during a duel. In 1707, the Wizards' Council was restructured into the Ministry of Magic, which allowed for more strict restrictions on certain types of magic.
Draco Malfoy attempts to use this curse on Harry at one point, but is forestalled by Harry's use of Sectumsempra. Harry uses this curse again on Amycus Carrow, who has just spat at Professor McGonagall. The curse is much more effective this time, as Harry feels hatred towards Carrow.
Extended Description. Draco Malfoy uses it first in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; he had goaded Harry into dueling with him. The spell hit Harry's Furnunculus jinx and ricocheted, hitting Hermione in the mouth. As a result of this, Hermione's front teeth grew to a length of over a foot long.
Hermione explains that the hourglass is a Time-Turner; she has been using it all year to get to all her classes. Professor McGonagall instructed her to tell no one about it. Now that they have gone back three hours, Hermione is unsure what Dumbledore expects them to do.
No she carved into with her knife (her getting close to the arm is her getting up close and personal and admiring her “work” I think).
Avada Kedavra, also known as the Killing Curse, kills a person instantaneously and without injury. There is no countercurse for it, and only one person, Harry Potter, has ever survived it.
Dec. 28, 1997: Ron Weasley destroys Salazar Slytherin's locket deep in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, by stabbing it with Godric Gryffindor's sword.
Merlin's beard/Merlin's pants
Merlin's beard, Merlin's “baggy y-fronts,” Merlin's pants, or simply just his name are all common curses uttered by the wizarding community in times of surprise or crisis.
They were first classified as "Unforgivable" in 1717. They are the Killing Curse, Avada Kedavra, the Cruciatus Curse, Crucio, and the Imperius Curse, Imperio.
And biggest shocking one is: Tom Felton had a crush on Helena Bonham Carter a.k.a Bellatrix Lestrange.
Hermione looked gorgeous in the pink dress as well, and that was the point. The dress wasn't supposed to be periwinkle blue, it was supposed to be gorgeous. Now the reasons why it was pink instead of periwinkle blue was because they had to make Hermione stand out without making her flash out.
2. She Had A Child With Voldemort. During Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, it was revealed that the affair that Bellatrix had with Lord Voldemort actually resulted in the birth of their illegitimate child, Delphini.
