The two remained friendly afterwards, though for a brief period Harry thought Krum was mad for using the Cruciatus Curse on
He was not corrupted; he was Imperiused. Bartemius Crouch Jr, under the guise of Alastor Moody, performed the Imperius Curse on him. This was done to make Harry's path to the Triwizard Cup clear.
Though the tournament was meant to be friendly, it was revealed to be a part of a plot to resurrect Lord Voldemort. Sadly, this led to Viktor Krum, whose headmaster was a Death Eater, being hexed to aid in their attempts. In a way, this became a...
Crouch wanted Harry to reach the Triwizard Cup so that he could be transported to meet with Lord Voldemort. To get the other champions out of the way, Crouch used Moody's magical eye to locate Fleur in the maze and stun her, though she managed to scream once before it hit her.
Transfiguration and Animagi are different
For example: if Viktor Krum can transfigure his head into a shark's, like he does in Goblet of Fire, that doesn't mean he is an Animagus. Transfiguration is a form of spell-casting, whereas becoming an Animagus is forever. And yes, he could turn into a falcon. Lucky.
During his pursuit of the Snitch, he was hit in the face by a Bludger which broke his nose and gave him two black eyes.
Viktor entered the maze behind Harry and Cedric, and began searching for the Triwizard Cup. During the task, Barty Crouch Jnr, posing as Alastor Moody by way of the Polyjuice Potion, managed to place the Imperius Curse on Viktor as part of his plot to steer Harry Potter to victory in the Tournament.
2 Answers. It may be because Fleur must have seen someone(fake Moody) in the dark of the maze going to attack her, because he is the one who stunned her. So in that fear she would have screamed.
Weasley hates Fleur because she's "too pretty, too flighty, not as smart as Tonks". Fleur's arc is proving that she is as smart and strong as any other female character. It's not her fault she's so pretty when she couldn't control how she looked. She's not flighty or as rude as Hermione, Ginny and Molly think she is.
Fleur Delacour failed to finish the second task because she was attacked by the grindylows. Because Delacour failed to finish, she never retrieved her younger sister, Gabrielle.
Being in second place, Krum enters the Third Task maze after Harry and Cedric. Harry finds him performing the Cruciatus Curse on Cedric, Stuns him, and signals that he is out of the competition. It turns out later that Krum was being controlled at the time by Barty Crouch Jr. using the Imperius curse.
Viktor Krum was third, facing a Chinese Fireball. He used the Conjunctivitis Curse to blind the dragon and retrieve his egg. However, he was docked points when the dragon stumbled around and smashed half of the real eggs.
Beauxbatons is depicted as an overly-feminine all-girls school, while Durmstrang is an overtly masculin all-boys school. In the books, this simply isn't the case, and there are several instances of female Durmstrang students being noted.
Cedric's death is a major plot point in the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, in which Harry and Ginny Weasley's son Albus uses a Time-Turner and prevents Cedric's death. Due to his humiliation in the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric eventually becomes a Death Eater and kills Neville Longbottom.
Sirius scolds Harry, "what do you think you were playing at, walking off into the forest with Viktor Krum?" (29.92). And during the third task, Viktor casts the Cruciatus Curse on Cedric Diggory until Harry comes along and Stuns him. (It turns out later that Moody used the Imperius Curse on Viktor to make him do this.
David Tennant
- where he finally gets to be Scottish - or as Crowley in Good Omens. In his portrayal, Tennant gave Barty the nervous habit of licking his lips, which Brendan Gleeson (Moody's actor) decided to go with. The movement was completely improvised on Tennant's part, but became an indicator for Barty Crouch Sr.
It was Percy's promotion to Junior Assistant to the Minister for Magic that caused a real rift between the Weasleys. Percy was proud and believed he had achieved the recognition himself, but Arthur was convinced that he was given the position so the Ministry could spy on the Weasleys.
In the film adaptation of Goblet of Fire Fleur spoke with a thick French accent, however in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 she spoke with a normal UK English accent. A possible explanation is that she improved her English in the time between the events of Goblet of Fire and the events of Deathly Hallows.
Relationships with Other Characters
Ron Weasley accidentally asks Fleur to attend the Yule Ball with him; she ignores him. Harry suggests that this because she has turned on the charm to try to ensnare Roger Davies, and Ron had been caught in the flux of her spell.
Fleur Delacour is at most 21 when she marries Bill Weasley, who is a bit older, at 26. Although we don't know exactly when Harry and Ginny get married, Ginny was 22 and Harry was 23 when they had their first child, which means that we can probably guess that they got married a year or two earlier than that.
No, Gabrielle would have been fine. As Ron pointed out, Professor Dumbledore wouldn't have allowed any of the hostages to come to any real harm. The other two Heads of school wouldn't have either.
Unable to decide who should have the trophy, since they both helped each other out numerous times throughout the tournament, they decide to touch it at the same time, both winning.
Moody also reveals that it was he who told Cedric to open the egg underwater and that he gave Neville the book that led him straight to discovering gillyweed in it. Harry realizes that Moody put his name in the Goblet of Fire and that he bewitched Krum.
Viktor Krum: Hufflepuff
Viktor Krum is a Hufflepuff because he clearly has many of the same traits and values as Hufflepuffs tend to have. He had to work hard to enter the Quidditch League at such a young age, even though he is of course, very skilled.
Viktor Krum is a Bulgarian wizard who was their national side's Seeker at the Quidditch World Cup (1994, 2002, 2014) and also Durmstrang Institute's representative at the Triwizard Tournament held at Hogwarts in 1994.
