Sphynx Breed Highlights
A favorite pet of movie villains, a Sphynx named “Ted Nudegent” played Mr. Bigglesworth, Dr. Evil's lapcat in the movie Austin Powers International Man of Mystery. You'd expect a cat breed with the name Sphynx to be from Egypt, but in fact, this hairless breed originated in Canada.
Bigglesworth loses all of his fur and is hence played by a Sphynx cat actor named SGC Belfry Ted Nude-Gent, who was bred by Michelle Berge of Belfry Cattery. Mr. Bigglesworth is seen several times during the movie and is featured in all of the Austin Powers films (although not as extensively as in this first outing.)
Grumpy Cat is quite possibly one of the most famous cats in history.
The Sphynx cat (pronounced SFINGKS, /ˈsfɪŋks/) also known as the Canadian Sphynx, is a breed of cat known for its lack of fur. Hairlessness in cats is a naturally occurring genetic mutation, and the Sphynx was developed through selective breeding of these animals, starting in the 1960s.
Many of Blofeld's characteristics have become tropes in popular fiction, representing the stock character of the criminal mastermind, with the stroking of his white cat often retained as a parodic allusion to Blofeld's character.
Mia is a female Savannah cat – a relatively new breed not even recognised as a domesticated breed in the UK.
Cats with 'M' on forehead: the mark of a true tabby cat
One story has it that the 'M' is related to the word 'mau' which in Ancient Egypt meant 'cat'. In Christian folklore, a tabby cat dutifully showed up to comfort baby Jesus. In gratitude, his mother Mary stroked the cat's head and left an 'M' mark on its forehead.
Milo means 'solider' and is a super versatile boy kitten name which suits just about every breed and colour.
Behind the scenes
It is often presumed to be a tom cat, however this is not stated in the films, apart from For Your Eyes Only, where he is named "Solomon". In some scenes, especially in Thunderball, we are more likely to see Blofeld's cat than Blofeld's face.
Mrs. Norris, the cat of Hogwarts caretaker, Argus Filch, is a long-haired striped cat with red eyes and first appears in the first movie, “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone.” She is portrayed by a Maine Coon cat in the movies. You will most likely see Mrs. Norris following Filch around the castle.
Scott Evil Powers is the secondary-later-final antagonist of the Austin Powers franchise. He is Dr. Evil and Frau Farbissina's smart aleck love child and was conceived in the 1960s when Dr. Evil took some of Powers' Mojo, even though he was told as a child that he was artificially conceived in a laboratory.
How he got it: The origins of Dr. Evil's facial scar aren't explained in any of the “Austin Powers” movies, but Wikipedia says the wound is a result of Mensur fencing, which definitely sounds like something Dr. Evil would do.

Eloise is a tabby cat with tie-dyed blue and purple fur.
Grumpy Cat was definitely a mixed breed and her family noted that she looked like she may have had some Persian, Ragdoll or Snowshoe in her. The family didn't breed Grumpy Cat so unfortunately, her lineage ended with her. Known for her grumpy expression, Tardar Sauce wasn't permanently perturbed in real life.
Felicia Hardy, better known as Black Cat, is a major antagonist in the 2018 video game Marvel's Spider-Man and a mentioned antagonist in its 2020 spin-off Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. She is a professional thief and cat burglar who operates in New York City and a recurring enemy and ex-girlfriend of Spider-Man.
She was originally characterized as a supervillain and adversary of Batman, but has been featured in an eponymous series since the 1990s that portrays her as an antiheroine, often with a utilitarian moral philosophy.
Unable to exact revenge against the man who ruined her life, Felicia became a cat burglar like her father, determined to be even better than he was. Donning a black costume and mask, she became the Black Cat and sought to steal from the world to replace what was taken from her.
In Celtic folklore there is a magical set of cats or "fairy cats". In Scotland, they are known as the cait sith. In Ireland, they are called cait sidhe. The cait sidhe is a mythical fairy creature in Scottish and Irish folklore. Whether Gaelic or Scotch Gaelic they are both pronounced as "caught shee".
The most infamous black cat of Celtic legend was the Cait-Sidhe ('The Fairy Cat' – 'sidhe', pronounced 'Shee', meaning 'fairy'), otherwise known as Cat-Sìth, a huge creature believed to be a fairy or a witch in disguise.
