Theodore Robert Bundy (né Cowell; November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped and murdered dozens of young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. She reported the incident to the police, which led to his arrest in August 1975 when he was pulled over by an officer. The officer found handcuffs, a rope and an icepick. Before being arrested for DaRonches attempted kidnapping, Bundy killed even more women between January and August 1975: Caryn Eileen Campbell.
But Bundy's mom never abandoned him after his crimes.
According to USA Today, Louise Bundy died in 2013. For years, she, like Bundy's wife Carole Boone, believe her son was innocent and denied that he committed the crimes he was accused of in multiple states.
Two young women, Kathy Kleiner and Karen Chandler, survived their injuries. Two of their sorority sisters did not. But, like other survivors of Bundy's rage, the women lived on to testify against their attacker and speak on behalf of the sisters they lost that night.

“His true day-to-day eye color… He had these kind of pretty blue eyes,” says Michaud. “But when he really got going, his eyes got black.” Michaud isn't sure why that is, although he's open to the idea that it might have had something to do with pupil dilation at times of heightened arousal.
Molly recounts a disturbing incident when she was just 7: Bundy had been babysitting her for the night while her mother was out and they were playing hide-and-seek. When she spotted Bundy lying under a blue afghan and pulled the blanket away, she found — to her surprise — Bundy naked.

"I felt such a strong love for her but we didn't have a lot of interests in common like politics or something, I don't think we had much in common."
Carol DaRonch survived an attack from one of the most dangerous serial killers in American history when she fought back against Ted Bundy. At just 18 years old, DaRonch escaped from Bundy's infamous Volkswagen and lived on to testify against him in court.

"The only thing we did is we put in false lower teeth to match Bundy's," director Joe Berlinger told Popsugar. "Bite mark evidence plays a role in how he was ultimately convicted, so I wanted the teeth to be similar." (FYI: Bundy had crooked lower teeth and a chipped incisor.)
He lacked interpersonal empathy and was unable to feel pity or remorse. He did not value human life or care about the consequences of his crimes. He was callous, indifferent, and extremely brutal in his interactions with his victims.
He stated: “I promise I will pray each day to ask for their forgiveness when the hurt goes away, if ever. I have seen their tears, and if I could give my life right now to bring their loved ones back, I would do it. I am so very sorry.”
