To program your Speed Calling 8 list, dial *74. Listen for the dialtone, then dial the one-digit number (2 through 9) you would like to use to dial a frequently called number. Then, dial the entire number you wish to designate for that code, followed by #. Remember to dial 1 and the area code for long-distance numbers.
When you do not want to be disturbed by incoming calls, you can activate the “Do Not Disturb” feature. All calls will be directed to Voice Mail and you will not hear your phone ring. To activate Do Not Disturb, dial *78.
*63 Activation, *83 Deactivation - Selective Call Forwarding - Allows the subscriber to have incoming calls from a limited number of calling parties forwarded to a prespecified remote station.
Other callers will hear a message that you are not accepting calls at this time. To activate, dial *64. Listen for an announcement to tell you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will then tell you how many numbers are on your call acceptance list.
*31# (Disable Caller ID)
If you want to keep your privacy and prevent others from knowing when you call them, you can disable caller ID by using this code.
Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) stops calls from people that use a blocking feature to keep their name or number from being displayed. When Anonymous Call Rejection is turned on, callers will hear a message telling them to hang up, turn off the blocking feature, and call again.
Deactivates Call Forwarding Busy. Lift the telephone handset, press the speaker button, or the headset button. Dial the code *91, then #. You will hear a confirmation message.
What does dialing *#21# actually do? When you dial *#21#, you are, in fact, activating a feature access code that quickly tells you the status of call forwarding for your phone.
Call “##004#”
This number is an internationally recognised code. No one will answer when you call it, but it will turn off conditional forwarding on your phone. It will reset your phone to its default phone settings.
Dialing ##002# deactivates any conditional or unconditional call forwarding settings on your account and also deletes any data such as messages or voicemails that were previously diverted to another number. This code only applies to phones on GSM networks such as AT&T or T-mobile.
Disable call forwarding on US Cellular
Disabling call forwarding on US Cellular network is as easy as running a USSD shortcode. Open the Phone app on your Android device. Enter *720.
It allows you to easily trace calls made to your phone number. Essentially, *57 records the calling number and other identifying information such as the date and time of the call. This information can then be used to request a complaint with your phone provider or to report the call to law enforcement.
Lastly, with the *#002# settings interrogation short code, you can see all forms of call forwarding on your line. If everything says "Disabled," you have nothing to worry about. If there are numbers listed, they could be put there by someone else, or they could be the number for your voicemail box.
*#*#4636#*#* Displays information about the phone, battery, and various network statistics.
*67 - Caller ID Block: Hides your phone number on Caller ID systems. *69 - Call Return: Redials the last number that called you. *70 - Call Waiting: Places your call on hold so you can answer another.
Dial *#61# to request status of call diversion on your number when you are not responding. Dial *#67# to request status of call diversion on your number when your line is busy. Dial *#62# to request status of call diversion on your number when your handset is turned off or has not coverage.
Enter *#30#.
This allows or blocks a phone number from calling you.
* * 21 *number# – Activate Call forwarding
Using the above code will redirect all incoming calls to a number you choose and save your phone from buzzing a lot and consequently help you to concentrate. I use **21*190# which works perfect on MTN Uganda, Airtel Uganda and Africell.
This Vertical Service Code, *82, enables calling line identification regardless of subscriber preference, dialed to unblock withheld numbers (private callers) in the U.S. on a per-call basis.
The next time you receive a call from a number you wish to block, end the call and dial *97. The number will automatically be added to your Selective Call Rejection list. You can block up to 100 numbers. To manage or modify your Selective Call Rejection list, dial *60 and follow the prompts.
Star 69 refers to "last-call return," the Calling Feature Vertical service code *69 keyed on a landline telephone set in order to return the call of the last one to ring (in Canada and the United States).
*60: Call Screening
This calling feature allows you to block up to 30 phone numbers. You can add the numbers you wish to block from your phone. You can also block the last number that called you, even if it's private.
Block calls from your phone
Press *80 to turn call blocking off. Press *60 to turn call blocking back on.
