AFAIK, the '(E)' indicates an English language standard, as opposed to '(F)' for French. Many of the documents at the ISO web site are available in English and French. In fact, Wikipedia offers some help, noting that the three official languages of ISO are English, French and Russian.

The Internal Organization for Standardization (ISO) has three types of audits: first-party, second-party, and third-party. Only the third-party audit, however, results in an ISO certification.
British Standard – BS denotes Britain's National Standards which are controlled by the British Standards Institute (BSI). EN denotes a Standard which is adopted by the European community and is controlled by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN).
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard enables organizations to establish an information security management system and apply a risk management process that is adapted to their size and needs, and scale it as necessary as these factors evolve.
The most popular certificates are ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), ISO/IEC 27001 (information security), ISO 22000 (food safety), and ISO 13485 (medical device quality management).
European Standards (abbreviated EN, from the German name Europäische Norm ("European Norm")) are technical standards drafted and maintained by CEN (European Committee for Standardization), CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) and ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute).
IEC standards are international. EN standards are european. EN means European Norm. EN IEC is the european implementation of the IEC standard.
BS = British Standard (published by the British Standards Institution – BSI, London), EN = European Standard (published by the European Committee for Standardisation – CEN, Brussels), ISO = International Standard (published by the International Organisation for Standardisation – ISO, Geneva).
Material standards are mixes of performance and prescriptive elements. Performance elements are those that are directly aimed at the needs of the designers, such as the mechanical and physical properties of the material. Prescriptive elements are for checking the result.

“E” stands for “envelope.” This symbol indicates the mutual dependency of size tolerance and geometric tolerance. It specifies the envelope of perfect form.
It stands for "envelope requirement." The basic idea is that the tolerance of the feature should not exceed the perfect geometrical shape at the maximum material size, which is identified by the symbol Ⓜ.
Only Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, …) are used. The main divisions are numbered continuously starting from 1. Each main division (first level) can be divided further into subdivisions (second level), which are equally continuously numbered. This can be continued for further levels of subdivision.
Standards Australia is also Australia's member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), providing a direct link to the international arena and creating further standards development efficiencies.
An ISO standard (International Organisation for Standardisation) is an internationally recognised standard for quality systems and an EN standard (European Standard) is a European recognised standard for quality systems. Both of them set out the criteria for safety clothing.
ISO standards are standards developed by the standardisation institute ISO, and IEC standards are developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). EN standards are usually ISO or IEC standards that the European Commission has harmonised.
International standards that are created through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) play a vital role in facilitating trade allowing Australian business to compete successfully in the global economy.
In due course of time IEC would be replaced by PAN / GSTIN.
The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) standards differ significantly. IEC standards specify the minimum device safety requirements. UL standards, in contrast, specify comprehensive technical details in terms of product safety and application.
There are thousands of European Standards (ENs), all of which can be found on the website of the European Committee for Standardization. Here you can search for more than 60000 documents, including extensive search functions (for each field, function or subject) to find the right standard.
