Lord Voldemort : [his voice magically booms throughout Hogwarts] I know that many of you want to fight. Some of you may even think that to fight is wise, but this is folly. Give me Harry Potter.
When Voldemort finally makes his presence known to the famous boy wizard, he beckons Harry with promises of immortality and unlimited power. "That's it, Harry," Voldemort hisses, "There is no good and evil. There is only power. And those too weak to seek it.
J. K. Rowling stated that the pain from Harry's scar on his forehead was caused by the piece of Voldemort's soul trying to leave his body through the wound it entered to rejoin its master's soul.
This is because of a jinx/spell called The Taboo. In the Second Wizarding War, it was Taboo to speak Voldemort's name. In 1997, Voldemort became in charge of the British Ministry of Magic and ensured that no one could speak his name.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
The Killing Curse ('Avada Kedavra')
Obviously there's no coming back from this spell, and according to the Ministry of Magic's classifications (and, again, fake-Moody) this is the worst Unforgivable Curse.
Draco tried to win Harry's friendship by encouraging him to stick to "the right sort" – i.e., rich purebloods like Draco. Harry's not a bigot or a snob, so he refused to shake hands with Draco, and the rest is history.
When Harry wrestles Draco's “everyday” wand out of his hand at the Malfoy's mansion, he conquers Draco, and therefore the Elder Wand — hidden in Dumbledore's tomb at the time — transfers its allegiance to Harry. Rowling said her American editor suggested the moment when Harry conquers Draco should be more dramatic.
In the end, both were essential to Voldemort's downfall, fulfilling the possibility that both Harry and Neville were, in fact, the Chosen One. While Harry delivered the final blow to destroy Voldemort, Neville destroyed the final Horcrux which allowed Harry to end Voldemort.
You can also learn it in the next Sallow relationship quest where you should tell Ominis Gaunt "We must not turn Sebastian in." Speak to Sebastian in the Undercroft after this and he'll teach you any Unforgivable Curses you have missed up to that point, including Avada Kedavra.
Voldemort's greatest fear is death and as a result a boggart takes the form of his own corpse. It is unsurprising that this is Voldemort's biggest fear. After all, he did split his soul up encasing it in various horcruxes just so to keep himself from dying.
' as Voldemort screamed, 'Avada Kedavra! ' he was giving all those around him the message he gave Lupin: this was about ending bloodshed, not creating it. Voldemort's signature spell was Avada Kedavra. Harry's was Expelliarmus.
In 2006, Rowling told an interviewer that Voldemort at his core has a human fear: the fear of death. She said: "Voldemort's fear is death, ignominious death. I mean, he regards death itself as ignominious. He thinks that it's a shameful human weakness, as you know.
Draco's first lines are directed at Harry.
Just before the Sorting Ceremony, he says to Harry, "It's true, then. What they're saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."
He explains also that Quirrell could not touch Harry because Harry was protected by his mother's love.
The plain answer is no.
The Cruciatus curse is named by Neville, who has reason to remember it as his parents suffered greatly under it. And the third, the Killing Curse, is named by Hermione; Moody mentions that it can't be blocked, and only one person is known to have ever survived it: Harry Potter.
In Deathly Hallows, Hermione faced a real test of her physical and psychological stamina. After being on the run from a bunch of Snatchers, the gang were taken to Malfoy Manor, where Bellatrix proceeded to torture Hermione using the Cruciatus Curse.
Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa was cold, cunning and devoted to the Dark Lord. But she was also a mother, which meant she was willing to risk everything to make sure her son was safe. When Harry survived Voldemort's Killing Curse for the second time, Narcissa pretended he was dead so she could get to Draco.
Her sacrifice gave Harry the power of love, a protection spell sealed with the blood spilled by her death.
Dumbledore gave Harry the Resurrection Stone to help him defeat Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore says in DH, the invisibility cloak was not his to keep.
