“Granadilla” is an orange fruit filled with grey, slimy seeds that frankly, look like frog eggs. The outside is a hard shell, but it is easily breakable with one's thumb. The seeds are eaten whole, like a pomegranate, but can also be eaten one by one, with a spoon, or by just sucking them out of the shell.
Strawberry guava is a small, almost mini-pomegranate-shaped berry with soft and juicy white flesh. It is loved all over the world for its tart, strawberry-guava-like flavor.
GRANADILLA. So, that bright orange, Christmas bauble-shaped fruit? It's called a granadilla ('gran-a-dee-ya'). Its smooth, thin, plastic-like skin cracks open and inside is a clear goo full of black, crunchy seeds ensconced in a spongy white pith.
