They finally kiss in the Chamber of Secrets, immediately after destroying a Horcrux, and that was that. In the final scenes, it was revealed that they married later on, and are still together when their children are all headed to Hogwarts.
She doesn't want to hug him for fear it will become immediately and plainly obvious to him and even Harry how she feels about Ron. She's conflicted about those feelings and is thus not ready to go public with them.
Ron and Hermione re-enter the chamber in Harry's seventh year; knowing that Basilisk venom will destroy a Horcrux, and having a Horcrux they need to destroy, Ron, who has twice now heard Harry pronounce the word "open" in Parseltongue, opens the Chamber by imitating the sound of the word.
She Was Attracted To Him First
She fully realized she liked him by the time of the Yule Ball, but didn't do anything because of Ron's tactless behavior at the time. Hermione would continue to keep her attraction at bay until she couldn't control it any longer (read further below to see where that led to).
There are many Harry Potter fans who think that Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) should have gotten married and lived happily ever after. Instead, Hermione ends up with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Harry commits to Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright).
He was jealous, but this jealousy stemmed from the sense that Hermione, whom he had always taken for granted, was his. Harry silently agreed with Hermione when she accused Ron of treating her like a last resort, but as usual, did not intervene.
Hermione, apart from being in love with the man who abandoned them, felt like she had failed in her determination to keep them all friends. On top of that due to leaving unceremoniously, Ron, Hermione believed, wasn't coming back as the chances were that he wasn't going to be able to come back even if he wanted to.
BECAUSE HERMIONE WAS IN LOVE WITH RON, NOT HARRY. Hermione's feelings for Harry are sibling-like, not romantic. Also, she actually saw Ron and Lavender, while she only heard about Harry and Cho second-hand from Harry.
Ron and Hermione finally lock lips during a distressing moment in Deathly Hallows — Part 2 when the characters are in the Chamber of Secrets.
6 Ron Keeps Stepping On Her Foot
In all of the first three films of the series, it appears as if Ron can't walk without stepping on Hermione's toes. This gets even more bizarre in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when Ron apparently stepped on Hermione's foot while remaining completely stationary.
The Heir of Slytherin turns out to be Ginny Weasley, who is being controlled via a magical diary that once belonged to Tom Riddle, AKA Voldemort.
Ron spoke Parseltongue in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to open the Chamber of Secrets.
For one, Hermione has not failed to solve the mystery that has proved so elusive to Harry and Ron; she sought knowledge in the library and found it in the form of the basilisk description she has balled into her hand.
Ron never apologized openly by saying “sorry". Since the books are Harry's pov, we don't have many apology moments in the books. Even in Gof, when Ron hurt her, it is not outright stated that he apologized. They were simply being civil to each other the next day.
Then they chatted. Then Hermione went to sit with Ron and Harry. There Ron accused her of fraternizing with the enemy. Hermione was angry.
Ron first began showing signs of romantic interest in Hermione in their second year; he was irritated by her crush on Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, became so angry that Draco Malfoy called her a "Mudblood" that he tried to hex him, and was even more upset than Harry when she became one of the victims of the basilisk.
J.K. Rowling Says Hermione Should Have Ended Up With Harry Potter, Not Ron. Well, everything you thought you knew about love is a lie. Turns out J.K. Rowling thinks she made a huge mistake by pairing Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter novels.
But just because the snog wasn't real in the "Harry Potter" world, doesn't mean that Watson and Radcliffe were off the hook from filming it. "It is full-on," Watson said of the scene -- for which she wore a strapless bra -- while speaking to MTV News at the film's London junket.
A further clue about Hermione and Ron's romance can be found in Potions class. When describing the smell of Amortentia, Hermione blushes and won't reveal the third scent. J.K. Rowling has since confirmed that this smell is Ron's hair. Finally, Hermione took a career path that may have surprised her younger self.
Even so, that was no excuse for Ron to retaliate with something even worse: to meanly say, 'It's no wonder no one can stand her,' loud enough for Hermione to overhear, causing her to flee in tears.
During his sixth year, Harry discovers that he finds Ginny to be a source of constant hilarity. When he is sixteen, Harry develops feelings for Ginny, but it is not her physical attributes that he spends the bulk of his time thinking about; rather, it is her humour.
SHE SHOULD HAVE DUMPED HIM: When He Used Lavender To Make Her Jealous. Having said that, Hermione did sort of have a reason to be annoyed at Ron. It was pretty clear to everyone involved (and everyone watching from afar) that Ron was only with Lavender to make Hermione jealous.
There's no concrete evidence in the books, or even the movies, that suggest Ron and Hermione ever had sex during their school years, but it's something that could have transpired considering they were two emotional teenagers.
Hermione probably liked the way Ron looks for starters. She was big on looks (Lockhart). She likes bickering, which Harry doesn't. She needs people who make cups to tea and remind her to have fun as well as study.
