Jenny meets Brianna Randall Fraser for the first time at Lallybroch, when the girl travels into the 18th century to search for her parents. Jenny is delighted at seeing that Jamie fathered a daughter as they had never expected him to have children, and marvels at Brianna likeness to him.
Since there is a price on Jamie's head, he, his sister Jenny, and his brother-in-law Ian concoct a scheme wherein she "turns him in" to the British, as he is wanted for the crime of treason for the part he had played in Bonnie Prince Charlie's attempted Scottish uprising.

Many fans have been wondering why Jamie would even consider marrying Laoghaire in the first place. Part of the reason Jenny urged Jamie to re-marry was to try and give him some happiness after Claire left a gaping hole in his heart.

Henri-Christian is born as the fourth child of Fergus and Marsali. He is a dwarf and some of the residents of Fraser's Ridge believe he is a punishment for his parents' sins. Henri-Christian is placed in a basket and put into a stream by some boys.

Unbeknownst to Bonnet, Brianna then makes a deal with the whore to get word to her family that Bonnet is taking her to Ocracoke. Later, Bonnet insists Brianna sleep next to him in bed at night. She comforts him during his nightmares, which reveal his deep fear of death by drowning.
Although he may be an adoptive son, Jamie and Claire see Fergus almost as one of their own children.

Birds of a Feather Melissa reveals, along with being the Black Swan, that she lost her baby the day after Ian was found dead. She was going to tell Spencer, but found Ian's phone in Spencer's possession, and had been faking her pregnancy ever since.
