But what happens when a player uses such spells in the game? Turns out it is not a lot. The game doesn't seem to punish them for using spells and curses dubbed "unforgivable." The game still reacts to witches and wizards using Crucio and others but nothing long-term.
This is not the case, however, and the player's decision to use Unforgivable Curses has no effect on anything other than convenience in combat.
As there's no morality system in Hogwarts Legacy, you aren't punished in any way for using it or any of the other unforgivable curses. You can even use Avada Kedavra while on missions with teachers and in the presence of other members of staff, however, you're never reprimanded for doing this.
There aren't any consequences for using Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy. Despite it being one of the three Unforgivable Curses, which normally result in a life sentence in Azkaban Prison, the game allows you to use them with impunity.
He told his class the penalty for using an Unforgivable Curse on another human being was life imprisonment in Azkaban. He also told the class that they were not supposed to be shown what the curses did until their sixth year.
But most importantly, you can make your own quest choices that will result in different outcomes and ultimately in your own ending. However, in Hogwarts Legacy, you can't become an actual villain. The game is designed to put the player on a path to saving the world; your character is the only one who can accomplish it.
Avada Kedavra is the last of the unforgivable curses you can learn in Hogwarts Legacy. Just like the others, you will unlock it by progressing through Sebastian Sallows' relationship quest chain.
In case you do turn Sebastian in, he will be taken away by the Ministry authroities, and you won't be able to learn Avada Kedavra.
Rather, it is a one-hit kill on almost any enemy or boss. This is great news for players who want to make quick work of late-game foes, but players will soon learn that Avada Kedavra is obsolete against the final boss of Hogwarts Legacy's main questline, though there may be reasonable explanation as to why.
In order to unlock Crucio in Hogwarts Legacy, you must complete the mission in the Sebastian Sallow quest line. Eventually, as you complete more of them, you'll get the chance to complete the mission, “In The Shadow Of The Study”.
Hogwarts Legacy has three main endings for players to discover in addition to Sebastian's dialogue choices which change how his companion quest line ends. Hogwarts Legacy includes a good ending, a bad one, and a universal final end scene for both "good" or "bad" dialogue pathways.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Why is Avada Kedavra considered unblockable? The Killing Curse (incantation: Avada Kedavra) was a mighty difficult spell to cast; there existed no ordinary counter curse for the same. Nor were any of the conventional Shield Charms effective against a spell this potent. The effects of the Killing Curse are irreversible.
If you choose the option of “I don't want to learn the Cruciatus Curse,” you won't be able to learn it. However, as an update, we have found out that this might not be true as some players have mentioned that you can visit Sebastian in Undercroft and he will teach it to you in case you missed it during the quest.
If you choose not to learn it, you'll have to wait until much later in the game for one more chance to learn the spell from him, so make sure you choose wisely! After you learn how to cast Crucio in Hogwarts Legacy, don't forget to have a look at the Dark Arts skill tree.
Later, in the Undercroft, the game gives you the option to turn Sebastian in or to let him get away with the murder of his uncle. Of course, in the real world, murder is a serious crime and should always be reported.
Ranrok absorbs this swirling crimson substance and becomes the Ranrok Dragon that players then fight as Hogwarts Legacy's final boss, but because it is composed of magic and adorned in what looks like metal or stone, Avada Kedavra is not effective on it at all.
Why didn t the Death Eaters use Avada Kedavra all the time? Firstly according to the fake Moody Avada Kedavra (AK) requires a powerful magic. Therefore using it repeatedly would be magically - and perhaps even physically - very draining. Secondly Death Eaters don't always want/need to kill their targets.

To learn Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy and unlock the killing curse, you need to follow Sebastian Sallow's relationship quest line. The quest in question that you need to complete is In the Shadow of the Relic.
You can't simply block it. Dumbledore would cast an object between or deflect it. The added advantage for dumbledore is with elder wand he can cast a powerful charm in-order to block it.
The only way to shield yourself from Avada Kedavra is by Priori Incantatem (the Reverse Spell), Disapparating, or putting a physical block between the caster and yourself. However, if the curse hits a non-living object, it can cause a major explosion or fire.
Unfortunately, while you'll be able to use it in the arena, you won't have access to it anywhere else. So if you are looking for another chance to learn Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy, you can't really, but you can use it for a while at the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
If players choose not to turn him in, the protagonist will attempt to reason with Ominis by pointing out how much Sebastian regrets what he did. Ominis will take some convincing, but he will eventually agree with the protagonist before setting off to convince Anne of the same.
In other words, it doesn't matter in the slightest whether players let Sebastian take the relic during "In The Shadow Of Time." Although this certainly a missed opportunity in Hogwarts Legacy, the reality of the situation is that the player's input doesn't affect the outcome, and so they should feel free to make ...
