GPA means grade point average, and it's a way to translate your letter grade. So an A is 4.0, a B would be 3.0, a, C would be 2.0. So if you got all A's in your classes, you would get a 4.0 GPA, but maybe a mix would be a 3.8 or 3.4.
A High Distinction is a 7.0 GPA or a 4.0 GPA; a Distinction is a 6–6.99 GPA out of a seven-point grade point average, or a 3.5–4.9 GPA for a Distinction out of a four-grade point average.
