A wolfdog is a wolfdog or dog bred to another wolfdog or dog, which are the same canine species, a wolf hybrid is a cross between a pure wolf (usually bred in captivity) and a dog or a wolfdog. This type of match is an F1 which means 1 generation removed from a pure wolf.
F1-Generation
Offspring that results from the P-generation are known as the first filial generation. This generation is a 50/50 cross, being 50% Pure Breed A, and 50% Pure Breed B. In our example, this would be a first-generation Labradoodle that is half Labrador retriever and half poodle.
Crossbred dogs and designer dogs are often referred to as F1, F2, or F3, or even F1b or F2b. It is just the accepted nomenclature in which we can distinguish hybrid dog breeds between the different generations.
F2 dogs are a cross between two F1 hybrids, they are the offsets resulting from the mating of two F1 hybrids. F2 generation dogs are a cross between two F1 hybrids, they are the offsets resulting from the mating of two F1 hybrids. For example, a Labradoodle with parents who are also Labradoodles.
F2 vs F1? An F2 = F1 Goldendoodle X F1 Goldendoodle. An F2 Goldendoodle denotes a second generation cross—an F1 Goldendoodle bred to an F1 Goldendoodle. Again, you see a 50/50 even split between the breeds — the resulting puppies will be 50% Golden Retriever, 50% Poodle.
An F2 has approximately 620 horsepower, while an F1 car stands at an estimated 1000 horsepower. On the whole Formula 1 cars are faster and much stronger than F2 cars. The downforce produced by Formula 1 cars is an incredible amount producing up to 5 G's of downforce.
The letter 'F' stands for 'filial', which means that the dog is crossbreed and not purebred. The numbers '1' and '2' refer to their generation. Lastly, the letters 'b' and 'bb' refer to backcross and backcross-backcross generations, respectively. For example, an F1b Doodle is a first-generation backcross Doodle.
When they say it is an F1, F2 and so forth the F refers to filial generation or the f-gen. Another way to look at it is: F1= mom or dad was a pure wolf to the wolfdog. F2=one of the grandparents was a pure wolf. F3= a great-grandparent was a pure wolf.
D locus dilute d2 (Chow Chow type) (d2)

The only way to get the trademark Goldendoodle look is to either breed two purebred dogs with less chance of that hypoallergenic coat or two F1 Goldendoodles. F2 Goldendoodles offer a higher possibility of hypoallergenic coats and a wider choice of options even within the same litter.
F2B = (Also technically an F3 as it is 3 filial generations removed from original purebreds). F2 x Golden Retriever or Poodle, as long as the two back-crossed dogs were the same breed. F4- Multigen, any cross of the two breeds that is not included in any of the above generations.
An F1 Goldendoodle is a Golden Retriever X Poodle (50% Golden & 50% Poodle). F1s are generally low to non-shedders. They typically have straight or loose wave coats. They can be many colours (except chocolate or parti).
An F3 car will reach a top speed of 186mph according to the official data, 22mph down on its F2 counterpart and 45mph slower than the peak speed of an F1 car. 0-60mph in an F3 car meanwhile takes 3.1 seconds.
An F1 hybrid (also known as filial 1 hybrid) is the first filial generation of offspring of distinctly different parental types. F1 hybrids are used in genetics, and in selective breeding, where the term F1 crossbreed may be used. The term is sometimes written with a subscript, as F1 hybrid.
