God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants us to find happiness and joy. He created a plan for us to grow, live by faith, and return to live with Him someday. His plan gives meaning and context to our life here on earth and answers the big questions: “Where did I come from?” “Why am I here?” and “What happens after I die?”
Our purpose on earth is to love God, then show the same love he offers us to others so they can come to know him. God wants us to lead others to him through our love for them!
Pastor Rick teaches about the five purposes of your life: Be centered on God, learn to love others, grow in spiritual maturity, give something back, and tell others about God's love.
God, reveal to me how these desires planted in my heart can grow into an expression of the purpose You have for me to make a difference in the world. Lord, lead me to initiate or find activities that can bring me clarity and validation of what I am being called to become and fulfill for Your glory.
This is God's plan of salvation. God's ultimate purpose in redemptive history is to create a people, from every tribe and nation, to dwell in his presence, glorifying him through their lives and enjoying him forever. himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Proverbs 16:4 – The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
God's purpose is God's plan according to His will. God wants something. To attain what He wants, He has a plan that is according to what He wants, according to His will. This plan of God that is according to the will of God is what the Bible calls the eternal purpose of God.
The Good News is that God always has a purpose in everything He does, and that purpose is for our good — and to bring Him glory. The most wonderful thing God has sent to mankind is His Son as the Redeemer of souls. Do not dismiss the purpose of God, because everything He does points to the salvation He offers to all.
An essential part of Jesus' mission was, of course, to die for our sins on the cross and, through repentance and faith in him, open the way for us to experience eternal life with the Father. As Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrated his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.
God's Eternal Purpose: The Establishment of God's Kingdom (Volume)
God's Plan of Salvation. God is redeeming a people for Himself, to worship Him and glorify Him through faith and obedience. God is saving a people for Himself through the atonement of Jesus Christ. When we put our faith in Jesus, we are adopted into God's family and participate in God's plan of salvation.
Without a Vision People Perish
One of the things that this verse makes very clear is that a vision is vital to carrying out God's will for our lives. And without any revelation of His will, we have no way of creating a Christ-fueled vision for our family.
A way to know that you are following God's plan for your life is by being in prayer. Take time each day to devote yourself to the Lord and the plans He has for your life. If you are giving each area of your life to God, then He will bless it and be able to work through it abundantly.
Father, in the name of Jesus, as we begin to take steps in the direction of our purpose, we ask that you give us wisdom. We ask in faith, that as your Word promises us, that you will give us wisdom in every small and large decision as we step into our purpose.
He created people out of love for the purpose of sharing love. People were created to love God and each other. Additionally, when God created people, he gave them good work to do so that they might experience God's goodness and reflect his image in the way they care for the world and for each other.
So although He is aware of whom we are, what lies around the corner for us — whether it's our actions or the actions of others — He is in charge of the plan. Our lives have already been planned and laid out, and we must just walk in it and rely on a God who has it in the bag.
Eternal life can never be purchased in any way, it is entirely a free gift. The cost of this gift is the death of the Savior, Jesus Christ. The gift of eternal life is available to anyone who, after recognizing his own sinfulness, places his or her personal faith in Jesus Christ as the only Savior.
God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
“Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. ”
And then he died the painful death our sins deserve. John 3:17 says, “God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” By sacrificing himself for us on the cross, he took the punishment for all of our sins at once.
By sending his son Jesus to die for our sins, God is working to restore the radiance of his own glory shining in and through us. The apostle John captures this reality well when he writes: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
