Your old messages remain blue, but the latest texts you send after they've blocked you turn green. However, the bubble colors aren't accurate clues. They could mean the recipient turned off their phone, gone offline, or switched from iOS to Android.
Answer. This is the way Android Messages indicates whether the message is being sent via RCS or SMS/MMS protocols. The darker messages are RCS.
The green message background indicates the traditional SMS text message. It actually means a message that you have sent to someone else is through SMS message service instead of Apple iMessage. Blue message background means the message is sent via iMessage technology.

If an Android user has blocked you, Lavelle says, “your text messages will go through as usual; they just won't be delivered to the Android user.” It's the same as an iPhone, but without the “delivered” notification (or lack thereof) to clue you in.
If you send a message as a regular SMS in the green text bubble and you do not get a “Delivered” notification but instead get a notification similar to “Message not Delivered” or no message at all, that means you were probably blocked.
Blocking Someone on Android Messages and Apple iMessage
When you block a contact over Android or iPhone, they will still be able to send you text messages. These messages will not show up on your phone but the sender will see the messages as sent. They won't know that they've been blocked.
You get a blue name if it is eligible for iMessage, a green name if it is available for SMS, an d the examples I have show grey for an email address, or a home phone number which cannot accept a text message.
It is possible that the screen is grey because the grayscale feature is enabled. Just check the following simple steps: Step 1: Settings > General > Accessibility and then tap "Display Accommodations". Step 2: Tap "Color Filters" and if it on, turn it off to disable grayscale.
Apple® uses different colored message bubbles to indicate whether a message is sent via iMessage® (blue) or standard SMS/MMS (green). iMessage is an Apple service that allows unlimited messaging to other iOS 5 and higher devices. For more info, refer to the Apple iMessage web page.
Another way to know if someone blocked you on iMessage is to check the bubble color. If you see green bubbles, this means that your text messages are being sent through SMS, and they might have blocked you on iMessage.
For green messages, the texts that are sent are compatible with a wider range of phones and receiving services than blue iMessage texts. Since Android and other carriers operate within the SMS and MMS standards of text communication, these green texts are more versatile in who they can reach with their texts.
App Lock lets you add another layer of security to your private messages and helps prevent other people from accessing them. This optional feature gives you the confidence to know that if a friend or family member needs to borrow your phone, they won't be able to access your chats.
When you send them an SMS and you get the "Delivered" notification underneath it, you weren't blocked. If you get a notification like "Message Not Delivered" or you get no notification at all, that's a sign of a potential block.
If you have an iPhone and try to send an iMessage to someone who has blocked you, it will remain blue (which means it's still an iMessage). However, the person you've been blocked by will never receive that message.
Any messages you send to a contact person who has blocked you will always show one check mark (a sign of a message sent) but never show the second checkmark (a sign of message delivered).
For Android, go to Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings > Caller ID. Then, select Hide Number. Your calls will remain anonymous and you can bypass the blocked list.
SMS is available on virtually every phone and tablet in the world. iMessage on the other hand is available only on Apple devices. But one of the major differences and in fact, the most important is security. iMessage texts contain a thing called end-to-end encryption that regular SMS texts don't.
If you see a green message bubble instead of a blue one, then that message was sent using MMS/SMS instead of iMessage. There are several reasons for this: The person that you sent the message to doesn't have an Apple device. iMessage is turned off on your device or on your recipient's device.
