Such is the case with Harley Quinn, formerly Dr. Harleen Quinzel. A promising psychologist and intern at Arkham Asylum in Gotham City, Harleen was given the chance to get up close and personal with the Joker, an experience that wound up ending…
Dr. Pamela Isley (aka Poison Ivy) is the deuteragonist of the DC Universe's animated Harley Quinn franchise. She is Harley Quinn's best friend, eventual girlfriend, and fellow Arkham Asylum escapee.
(And let's just say, the original Harley is so much better.) As ComicBook.com reports, DC's new Harley Quinn: Be Careful What You Wish For Special #1 introduces a male version of Harley Quinn. According to the comic book site, Harley Quinn stumbles upon a genie and wishes for a "male modeled after her."
Harley Quinn is a Caucasian young woman with bleached white skin and blue eyes. Harley has an athletic body type, coming from her past as an acrobat.
Joker Jr. is the son of Harley Quinn and the mass-murdering criminal The Joker.
Harleen Quinzel. A promising psychologist and intern at Arkham Asylum in Gotham City, Harleen was given the chance to get up close and personal with the Joker, an experience that wound up ending… badly.
In Injustice: Gods Among Us, Harley Quinn reveals she gave birth to Joker's daughter, but gave her up for adoption rather than subject her to a life with Joker as a father. Similarly, Harley becomes a mother to twin children in the Batman: White Knight universe, though with happier results.
The Joker does not reciprocate her love and is in fact incapable of romantic emotion as he sees people only as tools to further his own plans. Harley is in denial of this fact and prefers to view him as an antihero until she eventually has to come face-to-face with his complete disregard for her.
Like her previous incarnations, Harleen Quinzel was still the Joker's psychiatrist, but before she becomes Harley, the Joker pushes her into a vat of chemicals, bleaching her skin white and driving her insane.
Lucy Quinzel is the daughter of the Joker and Harley Quinn and the niece of Delia Quinzel.
Twin sisters Delia and Deidre Dennis were the grandchildren of Harleen Quinzel. They joined the Jokerz under the joint alias "Dee Dee" and later followed in their grandmother's footsteps as "hench-wenches" of the original Joker.
Harley Quinn season two ends with Harley and Ivy finally accepting their feelings for one another and pursuing a romantic relationship.
Doctor Pamela Isley is some 40 years older than Harley in publication history, but the two have enjoyed a relationship on any number of levels throughout the 25 years that the Clown Princess of Crime has been smashing hearts with her synonymous mallet.
Both Harley Quinn and Catwoman call Poison Ivy "Red", due to her hair color. All three sirens named each other mostly by their criminal name (or part of it). The only exception to this is Catwoman, who Harley and Ivy usually call Selina.
Best known as the former girlfriend of the Joker, Harley suffers from multiple personalities, homicidal tendencies, Stockholm syndrome and possibly “shared psychotic disorder.” A survivor of domestic violence (not surprising, given her former beau), she has murdered grown-ups and kids.
In the film, Harleen Quinzel voluntary jumps into a vat of acid that turns her into Harley Quinn on her own accord simply because her love and obsession for the Joker trounced her own vision of self-worth simply because the Joker asked her if she “would die for him.”
Historically, Harley Quinn is a former psychiatrist who falls in love with the criminally insane Clown Prince of Gotham. Joker manipulates Quinn and she falls for his devilish charm, not knowing that it would be her eventual downfall and she would become a partner in clown-themed crime with Joker.
Harley Quinn started gave the Joker the nickname of Mr. J when she was still a pyschiatrist at Arkham Asylum. She also often calls him Puddin.
Joker starts to abuse her physically and psychologically, even attempting to kill her. But Harley is unaware of the manipulation. She is submissive and devoted, satisfied with a minimum amount of affection. However, we see some rebellion by Harley in certain episodes.
Harley Quinn: Best known as "The Joker's Girlfriend", Harley has had occasional romantic encounters with Batman, most notably her kiss with him in the episode Harley's Holiday from Batman: The Animated Series.
For example, a DC comic character by the name of Duela Dent went by the moniker "Joker's Daughter" for a bit, alleging the iconic clown was her father. However, that turned out not to be the case. She was then revealed to actually be the daughter of Batman villain Harvey "Two-Face" Dent, at least for a while.
To make this happen, the most famous clown in comics persuades the wizard Zatanna, however, she wants nothing to do with the Joker and she casts a spell but it backfires and he is the one that becomes pregnant.
