It's a 97-inch OLED TV, and it remains the biggest OLED TV in the world. And since OLED provides the best picture quality available, it's damn impressive in person at that size. But that wasn't the surprise --
The 97-inch LG G2 is the brand's largest OLED TV yet. It uses the same high-quality OLED panels as LG's other updated TVs -- so it provides brighter pictures than previous models, along with a wider range of colors, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
This week, LG has confirmed its 2022 smart TV line-up, which includes the 97-inch G2 OLED that will retail in Australia for “just” $47,999. It's still a bit punchy, even for the most aspirational of consumers, but at least it's under half of the original theoretical RRP.
Differences Between Sizes And Variants
We tested the 65-inch LG C2 (OLED65C2), but it's also available in 42, 48, 55, 77, and 83-inch sizes.
Given the improved OLED Evo panel, extra gaming features, better smart TV interface with webOS 22, and extra voice commands, the LG C2 is the winner. The LG C1 remains a great television, but for a little more money, you get future proofing with the C2 that's pretty hard to pass up.
The main differentiating factor between the C1 and C2 is the type of display used. The C1 plumps for a standard OLED panel, while the C2 boasts brighter OLED 'Evo' technology.

In terms of picture quality, OLED TVs are generally considered to be the better option due to their perfect blacks and infinite contrast. However, QLED TVs can still produce very high levels of brightness and colour accuracy, and they are often more affordable than OLED TVs.
Is a 65-inch TV too big? In most spacious living rooms a 65-inch TV will fit just fine, but it may look too big in a smaller room. Before you buy, make sure you can accommodate the ideal viewing distance from your couch to the screen.
Sony stands out a little more for better overall color quality and any image-processing around objects where there is less blur on screen. Where LG stands out is with its alpha9 Gen4 AI processors that are in their most recent OLED TVs.
For most people, the LG C2 is the better pick. It offers the same set of features as the G2 across a wider selection of screen sizes, and while the G2 is technically sporting a better picture, the difference in picture quality doesn't quite justify the higher price tag for most buyers.
If you have the money to spend and your priority is getting the best possible screen quality from your TV, smartphone or gadget, we'd say that OLED is absolutely worth the money. Your experience with the colours and contrast of movies, streaming shows, documentaries and games will never be better.
Based on trends over the last decade, OLED isn't going anywhere. In fact, the tech seems to be further cementing itself at the top of best TV lists everywhere. This year, there are more OLED TVs—in more screen sizes and from more manufacturers—than ever before, which makes it a generally good time to buy one.

How Durable OLED TVs Really Are? The lifespan of OLED TVs is a common concern among consumers, but the technology has proven to be reliable and durable. OLED TVs are known to have a lifespan of around 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to over a decade of use (with an average of 8-10 hours of watching hours daily).
OLED has better contrast and black level
QLED/LCD TVs, even the best ones with the most effective full-array local dimming, let some light through, leading to more washed-out, grayer black levels and blooming around bright sections.
Unlike OLED, QLED displays can output higher brightness levels and aren't as susceptible to screen burn-in.
OLED: the verdict. Both of these technologies are impressive in their own ways, but we're here to pick a winner, and for the moment, it's OLED. With better performance in the categories that most people will notice while watching TV shows and movies, it's still the best picture quality you can buy.

The C1 is almost as good as the LG G1, but it's also a better all-around package than most of the TVs we've tested, too. From its incredible performance to its future-facing features, the LG C1 is easily one of the best TVs we've ever seen.
The LG C1 is—technically speaking—a better TV than the LG CX. It focuses more on gaming than its predecessor, as its Game Optimizer puts a bigger spotlight on the TV's various hardware and software enhancements.
After two months, the two QD-OLED displays on this test (Samsung S95B OLED and the Sony A95K) are both showing signs of possible permanent image retention (burn-in), but the LG WOLED TVs like the LG C2 OLED and the LG G2 OLED are clean.
