Here is what else we know about Scamander: He was born in 1897, sorted into the Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts. He became a magizoologist at the encouragement of his mother, who was a breeder of the hippogriff, a magical creature that is half eagle, half horse.
Newton Artemis Fido Scamander is the newest golden boy of Hufflepuff House. Like Hermione, if it weren't for his actions, he would make a good Ravenclaw himself. Using sweet Luna as a Ravenclaw reference, we can see that the Magizoologist shares many of her qualities that coincide with Ravenclaw.
He's Luna Lovegood's grandfather-in-law
Newt's full name is Newton Artemis Fido Scamander.
According to the text, Newt was expelled due to his possession of a Jarvey, which was both illegal to own and a violation of Animal Welfare Laws 101/304.
Like most British wizarding children, Newt Scamander attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he was sorted into Hufflepuff house.
So much for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' being a brand new wizarding story with no connection to Harry Potter himself.
'Fantastic Beasts' Is Fawkes the Phoenix's Origin Story
Before he took up residence in Dumbledore's office at Hogwarts or aided Harry Potter in the Chamber of Secrets, the most famous phoenix in the Wizarding World may have been in Newt Scamander's suitcase in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
First, we have to figure out how Newt, son of Kendra Dumbledore, became a Scamander. The obvious course is that his biological father was Theseus' father.
Newt Scamander is arguably the most accomplished and famous Hufflepuff House graduate. Despite the fact that Scamander was expelled from Hogwarts, he went on to become one of the most well-respected Magizoologists of all time.
The document also explains that due to Dumbledore defending him, Newt's name was cleared, and he was allowed to keep his wand to continue his studies.
Goldstein: The father of Queenie and Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, father-in-law of Newt Scamander, and great-grandfather of Rolf Scamander and great-grandfather-in-law of Luna Lovegood. Mr. Goldstein was a wizard and married to Mrs. Goldstein, having two daughters, Porpentina and Queenie (her real name is unknown.)
No, on many reasons. Newt married Tina and had a child with her, not a giant and also, Hagrid's last name is, well Hagrid, so no, Newt isn't Hagrid's dad.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore confirmed that Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore (Ezra Miller) is the new Snape (Alan Rickman) through a very familiar line delivered by Aberforth Dumbledore (Richard Coyle). Fantastic Beasts 3 finally shed light on the Credence being Aurelius Dumbledore plot twist.
Any Hogwarts house would have been lucky to count Luna Lovegood amongst its numbers, but with apologies to Gryffindor, Slytherin and Huffepuff – we reckon the Sorting Hat got it right with Ravenclaw!
The Heir of Ravenclaw was an individual prophesized by the centaur Harmonthrep (Ajrand) to bring honor and glory to the House of Ravenclaw. The Heir of Ravenclaw was in time revealed to be Brian Dumbledore (Ajrand).
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. She had no friends, and was bullied relentlessly because of her glasses and acne.
Clint Barton (Hawkeye): Hufflepuff
Also displaying an honorable amount of courage while fighting evil around the world solely with the aid of his bow and arrow, Gryffindor would be his secondary house.
Dumbledore takes Harry in as his favorite student, protects him, and shows faith in him and his abilities. He then sends Harry out to kill a dangerous wizard with very little preparation, all the while planning and expecting for Harry to meet his death.
And, naturally, J.K. Rowling herself is a Gryffindor.
Rowling revealed her house during a livestream in 2012.
"I always saw Dumbledore as gay," Rowling said in response to a fan question about Dumbledore's love life. "Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald" and was "blinded" by it. "This was Dumbledore's tragedy."
Aberforth Dumbledore
Aberforth is the younger brother of Albus Dumbledore and owner of The Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade. He clearly has quite a lot of resentment towards his brother, as well as Grindelwald, which is mainly due to the death of his and Albus' little sister, Ariana.
It is unknown if Newt is pure-blood or half-blood, as his father's blood status is unknown. According to Dumbledore, Newt does not seek power and simply asks, "what is right?" His patronus is unknown as, according to JK Rowling, is a secret.
Leta Lestrange is a character in the Harry Potter franchise, appearing in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She is the fiancee of Theseus Scamander and a former love interest of Newt Scamander, daughter of Corvus and Laurena Lestrange through the Imperious curse, and half-sister of Yusuf Kama.
Newt was clearly one of Dumbledore's favorite students and we see the great wizard teaching Newt in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. In that film, we find out that Newt went to New York in the first Fantastic Beasts film on Dumbledore's orders.
