When Nezuko was turned into a Demon, her killing instinct initially pushed her to attack her brother, Tanjiro. But by some miracle, she overcame that drive. Instead, she has grown to love and protect humans, with her bamboo mouthpiece helping to prevent her from giving in to her bloodlust.
Nezuko's bamboo muzzle is her most recognizable accessory, but it's not there for looks.
The muzzle is for everyone's protection
Rather than continuing to attack, Giyu knocked the two siblings out and Nezuko woke up with her now-iconic (and strong) bamboo muzzle. Since Nezuko never actually tasted human blood, the muzzle prevents her from getting any in her mouth, whether by accident or purposefully.
Unlike other demons who survive on blood, Nezuko never really needs it, and she doesn't even consume human food either. Moreover, Nezuko has never shown any signs of undernourishment as she is always ready to assist her brother with her overwhelming strength and deadly Blood Demon Art.
The answer is quite simple: Nezuko wears a bamboo muzzle to prevent human blood getting into her mouth. This helps Nezuko keep control of her demon side. That's because all demons long for human blood and if she were to taste it, she might lose control of her demon-urges.
Nezuko Kamado
Despite having an intense fear of Demons, Zenitsu develops a crush on Nezuko. He tries to convince her to marry him several times and never fails to mention his admiration for her whenever he sees her.
Well, there are many reasons for nezuko's cuteness. She shrinks, she lives in a box like a cat. She plays cute little games when she's bored. She loves giving and receiving pats on the head.
His search came to an end when he discovered that Zuko was able to withstand the sun. While this is a great plot point, fans are confused as to how a demon whose main weakness is the sun can survive it. This is why Kamado Nezuko was able to stand in the sun despite being a demon.
Secondly, Muzan would probably… eat Nezuko and Tanjiro in the hopes of obtaining their sun-resistance abilities, and also since he wouldn't be able to convince them to become demons to work under him. This would allow him to become the ultimate demon.
There is no logical reason in relation to the plot that suggests why she has a horn. While fans might assume the horn grows on people with some relation to the sun, this wasn't the case for Tanjiro, who also turned into a demon. The only other reason that could explain the horn's existence is purely aesthetic.
1 Exploding Blood/Pyrokinesis Blood Demon Art
By far, this is Nezuko's most damaging technique when it comes to fighting her own kind.
Due to her demon abilities, Nezuko can change her size/age and appear “mature” in a slightly older form or can even make herself look younger and smaller than a 12-year-old.
Actually, the fact that Nezuko cannot speak is a misconception. She didn't completely lose her ability. to speak when she transformed. The reason she couldn't talk. was because she's trying to resist her demonic power.
Nezuko's favorite food is konpeitō ( 金 こん 平 ぺい 糖 とう , Konpeitō?), Japanese colored sugar sweets shaped like tiny-orbs with small bulges all around it.
Instead of killing Nezuko, Giyu rendered her unconscious, and then placed the bamboo in her mouth to keep her from biting anyone. The muzzle not only prevents Nezuko from sinking her teeth into humans, but also from biting herself, either on purpose or accidentally.
Nezuko first unlocked Exploding Blood during Tanjiro's fight with Lower Rank Kizuki Rui, and it has the power to turn her blood into a fire that burns demons, and only demons. Thanks to that, Nezuko was able to burn away the poison inside of Inosuke and Tengen without hurting them any more than they already were.
Since Nezuko is from a Sun Breathing lineage she can survive in daylight. After the final battle against Hantengu concludes she can step into daylight and many theories are available about the phenomenon. One of the theories is that her abstinence from consuming human blood is what saved her.
Nezuko, on the other hand, never was under Muzan's curse, it would seem. Instead, she used her will to protect her brother and other humans to fight off the curse. This is probably why Nezuko sleeps instead of eating humans. This also means her strength as a demon is based on her will to protect rather than feed.
As it turned out, the scar on Tanjiro's forehead did have some significance to it, rather than simply being a Todoroki-esque burn from scalding water. Tanjiro wasn't born with this scar on his forehead. Rather, he acquired it when tackling his younger brother out of the way of a falling pot of boiling tea.
So, in conclusion, her coming from a Sun Breathing user's lineage and not relying on human substance are perhaps the reasons for her immunity. Hence, Muzan was searching for the Blue Spider Lilly, a flower that was a crucial ingredient in the medicine used by the doctor who saved his life.
Abnormal Demon Physiology: As the "chosen demon", Nezuko has several unique demonic traits that set her apart from all other demons. Most notably, Nezuko can continuously restore her power without consuming any human blood like any other demon would need to do.
Like all demons, Nezuko has a special ability called a Blood Demon Art. Hers is referred to as Pyrokinesis, with which she conjures bright, pink flames. Nezuko's ability is devastating for other demons, as her flames have the power to cancel out other Blood Demon Arts.
Demon Slayer's adorable icon Nezuko has stolen fans' hearts for five key reasons, earning her the title “Best Girl” of the series.
At the start of the series, Nezuko's eyes were red and normal for a human. Once she was turned into a demon after her family's attack, her eyes changed into pink.
