We've never entirely understood Obi-Wan's decision to go into hiding under the pseudonym "Ben
In the story, we learn that Obi-Wan took on the name Ben because it's a nickname given to him by an old flame, the Duchess Satine Kryze. He takes on the name because it still has emotional resonance for him.
In the aforementioned Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Owen Lars and Leia Organa (until she learns his true name) called him “Ben.” Later on, in the saga's timeline in The Force Awakens, we discover that “Ben” is Kylo Ren's given name, most likely due to Obi-Wan helping his mother as a child.
Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi : [thoughtfully] Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan... Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time.
Haja Estree posed as a Jedi. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the human male Haja Estree resided on the planet Daiyu, working as a con artist. In his scam, he posed as one of the Jedi, Force-sensitive peace-keepers who were hunted by the Empire after their Jedi Order was destroyed in 19 BBY.
The real question is why the clone was unable to recognize Obi-Wan. While it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility that the clone had never seen him in person, it is almost guaranteed that he knew of him. The clone would probably also have seen the bounties of him posted across the galaxy.
In the material around the film from the Legends timeline, it's established that by the end of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Kenobi was one of the characters who knew Anakin's Sith name was Darth Vader.
She knows Obi-Wan's real name as well as his alias of “Ben.” When Luke comes barging into her cell and says, “I'm here with Ben Kenobi,” Leia jumps off the bunk in an instant. “Ben Kenobi, where is he?” she says, raring to go. That name was all she needed to hear.
He says what we wanted him to say: “Hello there.” It's a small line to obsess over, and surely it was never meant to win over the internet as it has. But its meaning to fans makes it just as perfect a greeting for Luke—and ending for us—in Obi-Wan Kenobi as it was in A New Hope.
While on Tatooine, Obi-Wan is known to Luke and the nearby townsfolk as “Old Ben” Kenobi. However, no real answer has ever been given about why he changed his first name but not his last. It seems a bit foolish to go into hiding but not change a recognizable surname.
Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
So, even when she eventually learns his real name, Leia always associated the Jedi Master with Ben rather than Obi-Wan. Inspired by this, it makes sense that she decided to name her son Ben Solo — after Ben Kenobi.
Anakin Skywalker is the son of Shmi Skywalker, born without a father through the Force. He is the secret husband of Padmé Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the father-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandfather of Ben Solo.
The base assumption of why Obi-Wan doesn't remember R2-D2 -- in light of the prequels -- is that Obi-Wan is feigning ignorance in A New Hope to downplay the importance of the droid's arrival.
Why does Obi-Wan Kenobi age like that? Because he's not real, and is a fictional character played by different people. You see, Obi-Wan Kenobi is played by Alec Guinness in the original trilogy. Guinness was 62 when he filmed A New Hope, and he died in 2000.
Princess Leia Organa was one of the greatest leaders of the Rebel Alliance, fearless on the battlefield and dedicated to ending the Empire's tyranny. Daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, sister of Luke Skywalker, and with a soft spot for scoundrels, Leia ranked among the galaxy's great heroes.
It is revealed that it was all a plan made by Obi-Wan, Yoda and Mace Windu, who decided to fake Obi-Wan's death so he could pretend to become a member of a looming Separatist plot to kidnap Palpatine.
That moment he has to tell Padmé, it feels like he has to accept the truth as he says it, leading to the covering of the mouth to avoid being sick. (Absolutely love that it was to stop laughing on set though; that's amazing.)
However, Leia's strong-mindedness during Vader's probe denied him the opportunity to discover she was his daughter. That serves to justify Vader's lack of awareness of his connection to Leia, although, perhaps, not as satisfyingly as if Lucas had planned for the relationship from the beginning.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence.
However, rather than be an oversight or plot hole, Leia might not have remembered old Ben for one sinister reason. This has to do with Ben's Jedi powers, namely the mind trick. As he grew older, he'd use it on Stormtroopers to protect Luke Skywalker.
Yes, when Darth Vader turned back to Anakin Skywalker and sacrifice himself to save his son, he dies and Obi-Wan uses the force to connect with Anakin's spirit. In that time Anakin apologizes to Obi-Wan, desperately asking him to forgive him for everything he has done to him and everybody over the years.
Master Yoda knew that Darth Vader was once Anakin Skywalker- the boy he sensed too much fear in to train way back in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
Though there was some debate among the fans that Anakin Skywalker's son, Luke Skywalker, was actually the Chosen One since he caused his father to destroy Darth Sidious, the debate was settled when George Lucas himself confirmed in an interview that Anakin, even after becoming Darth Vader, was still officially the ...
