Canada was by far the Queen's most popular destination. She had been there 22 times during her reign, visiting for the first time in 1951 while she was still a Princess. Old timers still recall the checked blouse and a flared blue skirt she wore when she learned to Canadian square dance in Ottawa.

As of 2023, there are 15 Commonwealth realms: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, and the United Kingdom.
