Her Sleep Lady Shuffle is suitable for babies from six months. Here's how it works: The first night, you put your baby down in the cot, drowsy but still awake, and sit in a chair next to the cot, holding her hand, stroking or patting if you need to, until she falls asleep.
I chose to do the 'Sleep Lady Shuffle' method. This method involves putting the baby down to bed completely awake, then placing a chair beside the baby's cot. From the chair, you are able to verbally reassure the child, pat intermittently, shush, or even pick him up if they are very upset.
Most families see a positive change in their baby's (or toddler's) sleep habits within 7 to 10 days. That's less than two weeks. Of course there are exceptions. Families who don't see results in the first few weeks generally need to reexamine how they're doing The Shuffle.
The Sleep Lady Shuffle is a Type of Fading
If your baby cries hysterically I want you to pick him up and comfort him till he is calm (not asleep) and then place him back in his crib and reassure him from your chair.
You start off by sitting next to your baby and you gradually move further and further away, weaning her off of your voice and presence to fall asleep by herself.
Bottom shuffling is often seen in babies who have not spent time playing on their tummy. Most babies who bottom shuffle are later walkers (typically walking from 18-24 months of age). Initially, they will often lift their legs up when you attempt to support them in standing.
The Shuffle dance was developed in the 1980s, it is improvised dancing where the person repeatedly “shuffles” the feet inwards, then outwards, while thrusting their arms up and down, or side to side, in time with the beat.
It's thought by some that gentle, repetitive tapping on the bum is said to mimic the sound and rhythm of a mother's heart beat in the womb. If your baby was head-down-bum-up like most are in the third trimester, their wee bottom's are what was closest to Mom's heart in utero.
Try stroking your baby's back firmly and rhythmically, holding them against you or lying face downwards on your lap. Undress your baby and massage them gently and firmly. Avoid using any oils or lotions until your baby's at least a month old. Talk soothingly as you do it and keep the room warm enough.
Gently rub their back. If your baby goes to sleep, remember to always lay her down in her crib on her back. Turn on a calming sound. Sounds that remind babies of being inside the womb may be calming, such as a white noise device, the humming sound of a fan, or the recording of a heartbeat.

Other Sleep Attacks
Spore is the most accurate sleep attack, and is far and away the best reason to train a Parasect. Lovely Kiss and Sleep Powder are tied for 2nd most accurate, and should be considered very seriously for the Pokémon that learn them.
The Scandinavian sleep method, also referred to as a 2-duvet system, is the term for sleeping in the same bed as your partner but each having your own blanket, quilt, or duvet. While this seems like it would be complicated in regards to a top sheet, that problem is mitigated by not using one.
In 2–3 outpatient consultations, parents were guided through 3 steps: (1) introducing a regular sleep-wake rhythm; (2) adjusting the child's bedtimes to individual sleep need; and (3) assisting the child to fall asleep on his/her own.
The 15 minute rule
If, after 15 minutes, you find that you are not asleep, don't stay in bed. if you're still awake after another 15 minutes, get up again and repeat. This helps with associating your bed with sleep and has been found to be one of the nost effective strategies to address long-term sleep difficulties.
You start with letting your little one cry for just a few minutes before briefly checking on them. As the night goes on, you gradually increase those response times until your baby falls asleep independently. Your baby's intervals of crying should be no longer than 10 minutes.
If your baby cries for you, experts suggest that you let her cry for a short interval of between two minutes and 10 minutes, before going to comfort her. You can gently pat and reassure her while she's still in her cot or pick her up and put her down again.
It's OK to let your baby cry if the baby doesn't seem sick and you've tried everything to soothe your baby. You can try to leave your baby alone in a safe place, such as a crib, for about 10 to 15 minutes. Many babies need to cry before they can fall asleep. And they'll nod off faster if you leave them to cry.
When baby first begins to stay asleep throughout the night, it is because they are learning to self-soothe. Babies typically learn to self-soothe around 6 months.
There are several ways of re-settling baby. Hands-on settling is one option where you comfort your baby with gentle 'ssshh' sounds, gentle rhythmic patting, rocking or stroking until baby is calm or asleep.
Any light touching on the baby's facial areas such as the head, forehead or the bridge of the nose also works,” Dailo tells TIME. The video has garnered more than 4 million views and inspired innumerable other parents to deploy the technique.
The dance style is called shuffling because of the way the dancers slide their feet against the floor. It has its roots in the 1980s, with the stomps and quick heel-toe dance moves of artists like MC Hammer, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson.
