Most Chill: ISTPs are like zen-masters. Their default state of mind in the face of adversity is calm, intense confidence.
When it comes to chilled-out lovers, ISTPs take the cake.
ISTP personality types are calm, efficient and productive, and are open to new opportunities. This introduction to the ISTP personality type, based on the Myers-Briggs® Step I personality assessment, can help ISTPs to understand how they interact with others, and what careers they might enjoy.
ISFJ: Soft-spoken
You never speak an unkind word to others. You're responsible, studious, love to read, and others probably think you're a bit quirky, too.
The most rebellious personality types include the ENTP, INTP, ESTP, and ISTP, while some of the least rebellious are the ISFJ, ESFJ, ESTJ, and ISTJ. Each personality type is somewhere on the spectrum of rebelliousness versus obedience, and there is no right or wrong way to be.
The ENTP. ENTPs are usually seen as energetic, curious, and spontaneous.
The INFJ. The INFJ is one of the rarest and most misunderstood personality types. These types are often seen as mysterious, daydreamy, and even confusing.
INTJs are often seen as cold-hearted, detached, and objective—but they only appear as such on the outside. That's because they're not reactive, meaning they don't show emotion in front of those they don't know well.
Introverted Feeling (Fi), by contrast, is an intrapersonal function. Whenever possible, it prefers to handle emotional issues inwardly and independently. This is why ISFPs, who use Fi as their dominant function, are among the least talkative of all types.
It can be debated which MBTI personality type is truly the most “shy” among the 16 types, but the INFP personality type — also known as the “Mediator” — is often listed at the top of shyness ranks.
The introverted (I) intuitive (N) types (“INs”)—INFJ, INFP, INTJ and INTP—are among the most “sensitive” of the personality types.
ISTPs are more likely to achieve a sense of order and cleanliness by being very efficient with their space. They're likely to have storage solutions for everything and to be more minimalistic. Even if their home doesn't look “clean” to others, it's likely that everything has its place and is easy to find.
One person's social interactions might cause them to lean toward the INFP as the most introverted personality type, while someone else might know an INTP who they swear is the most introverted person they've ever known.
ESFJ. Those who are extroverted, sensing, feeling, and judging are often identified as one of the kindest types by experts. "ESFJs have extroverted feeling as a dominant cognitive function," Gonzalez-Berrios says. "This makes them rule by their hearts.
They're probably ISFJs, who feel super uncomfortable with the prospect of hurting anyone's feelings. "They tend to be wallflowers and can sometimes stumble over their words," says Owens. They'll likely skip the inflammatory family dinner conversation—even if they're Zooming in from thousands of miles away.
According to the MBTI® Manual, ISFPs were the type most likely to get upset or angry and show it, as well as the type most likely to get upset or angry and not show it.
Which Types Ranked as the Least Happy? Sadly, INFPs ranked the lowest for happiness as well as the lowest for life-satisfaction. According to the third edition of the MBTI® Manual, these types also ranked second highest in dissatisfaction with their marriages and intimate relationships.
Isfp: The Chill Pill
There's no better person to just hang with than you, ISFP…and you get along with just about anyone, unless they're judgmental or demanding. People who prefer a structured relationship might find you too laid-back or aloof, but you can't be bogged down by rules or expectations, man.
People with the ESFJ personality type are the stereotypical extroverts. They are social butterflies, and their need to interact with others and make people happy usually ends up making them popular.
1. ESFJ. People who fit the ESFJ personality type can usually be recognized by their big hearts and kindly manner. ESFJs are warm and welcoming and their love of tradition means they value good old-fashioned manners highly.
The INFP may be the toughest personality type of all for others to understand.
Pride: ENTJ, INTJ, ISFJ, INTP
ENTJs, INTJs, and INTPs are particularly likely to cross the line from confident to cocky. Those with an ISFJ personality tend to be less brazenly prideful, but their general stubbornness in their ways may leave them feeling superior to others.
INFP – Your Ability to Be a Human Lie-Detector.
ISTPs are the most unpredictable of the 16 personality types, because they're typically rational and logical, but can also be enthusiastic and spontaneous.
INTJ. INTJs are often misunderstood simply because there are so few of them around. Making up only 2.1% of the US population, they understand the world in a fundamentally different way than most other types. While the rest of the world looks first to tangible data, INTJs follow symbols and underlying meanings first.
