The default permissions for your calendar is "Can view when I'm busy" which means that other Outlook users will not see details of your appointments but can see that you have an appointment.
The default calendar permission available in Microsoft 365 is the AvailabilityOnly role. With this, you can open other users' calendars and check whether they are free/busy.
Right click your calendar, then select Sharing Permissions from the menu. In the Calendar Properties window, select the Permissions tab to view your current calendar permissions settings. Select the Default name, then use the Permission Level dropdown to choose your desired permission level.
FULL permission means the user can Read, Edit, and Delete appointments/meetings. The following three FULL Permission Levels allow the granted person to delete files in the calendar you give them access to. Use these FULL permissions with caution.
Calendar permissions in Outlook determine how much details your colleagues can see and what they can or can't do in your calendar. Calendar in Outlook can don't only be shared internally, but it's also possible to share your calendar with external users.
You can easily view your calendar permissions in Outlook as follows: Right-click the specified calendar, and select Share > Calendar Permissions from the right-clicking menu. See screenshot: Note: You can also open the specified calendar, and then click Folder > Calendar Permissions on the Ribbon.
Click Calendar. Click Home > Calendar Permissions. On the Permissions tab, click the user's name and then choose Remove. Click OK.
4. Next to "My Organization", click on the drop-down menu and select the desired permissions level. This will grant that level of permissions to anyone who opens up your calendar. The default permissions level will be "Can view when I'm busy".
This is the default permissions someone in your organization has in order to view your calendar when using tools such as Outlook Scheduling Assistant.
Anonymous - is the permissions on your calendar granted to any other user. This is set to None by default and you should not change this.
To view or configure calendar permissions, you open up user properties, select the Mailbox tab and click the Calendar Permissions button. This opens up the Calendar Permissions form, where you can view, add, remove or reconfigure permissions on the user calendar.
In the admin center, go to Settings -> Org Settings. On the Services tab, select Calendar. On the Calendar page, choose whether you want to let users share their calendars with people outside of your organization who have Microsoft 365 or Exchange.
As an administrator, you can control how much calendar information people in your organization can share with users external to your organization. You can also set the default level of sharing for users within your organization.
Step 1: Ask to view a calendar
On your computer, open Google Calendar. Subscribe to calendar. If the calendar has been shared with you, you'll get an email. In the “Add calendar” box, enter the person's email address, or select one from the list.
To list the permissions on a calendar using PowerShell, run the Get-MailboxFolderPermission command in PowerShell after you have connected to Exchange Online (see instructions above). Replace filepath with the path to the file you are creating and filename with the name you want to give the CSV file.
Availability only will show only the time of items on your calendar. You can edit the Subject if you want. By default, your primary calendar will be shared. If you have created other calendars, you can select one of them to share instead.
Right-click the calendar you want to change permission for, and then select Permissions. Do one of the following, and then select Save: Use the drop-down menu to change the level of details that you are sharing with a person. Select the delete icon to stop sharing your calendar with a person.
