The Guinness book has declared the honey badger as "the world's most fearless animal." It looks like a weird skunk or, from the front, like a tiny bear wearing an old man's toupée, and it's got the personality to match.
What would it take to kill them all? A lot.
Apex predators, such as this leopard (Panthera pardus) outside of Mumbai, often fear humans. As they change their behaviors to avoid the stress of human contact, a cascade of ecological effects results.
It's a tardigrade—the most 'indestructible' animal on Earth. Also called water bears, tardigrades can survive up to 30 years without food, live in volcanoes, and endure the vacuum of space. Researchers say they could even survive an asteroid impact like the one that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs.
According to a conservation charity called Save China's Tigers, “Recent research indicates that the tiger is indeed stronger than the lion in terms of physical strength… A tiger is generally physically larger than a lion. Most experts would favor a Siberian and Bengal tiger over an African lion.”
Ever wondered what animal can kill a lion? Lions sometimes become the victims of their intended prey. There have been instances in which lions have been killed by giraffe, buffalo, kudu, snakes and even porcupines.
The survey also looked at which animals Americans figured would win in an animal fighting tournament, with elephants and rhinos coming out on top and geese falling in last place, followed closely ahead of an "unarmed human."
Lion vs Wolf: Bite Power and Teeth
Lions have 30 teeth including 4-inch canines that can unleash anywhere from 650PSI to 1000PSI bites when taking down prey. Wolves have 42 sharp teeth with 2-inch-long canines and a measured bite power of 400PSI.
To date, there's only one species that has been called 'biologically immortal': the jellyfish Turritopsis dohrnii. These small, transparent animals hang out in oceans around the world and can turn back time by reverting to an earlier stage of their life cycle.
The honey badger has been called the world's most fearless animal because it doesn't hesitate to attack animals much larger than itself- even lions and crocodiles!
The honey badger is not afraid of anything.
We are born with only two innate fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. A 1960 study evaluated depth perception among 6- to14-month-old infants, as well as young animals.
Animals with no natural predators are called apex predators, because they sit at the top (or apex) of the food chain. The list is indefinite, but it includes lions, grizzly bears, crocodiles, giant constrictor snakes, wolves, sharks, electric eels, giant jellyfish, killer whales, polar bears, and arguably, humans.

'In the sense of producing emotional tears, we are the only species,' he says. All mammals make distress calls, like when an offspring is separated from its mother, but only humans cry, he says.
Three-toed sloths are some of the slowest and seemingly laziest creatures in the world. Instead of evolving to eat more, they evolved to do less.
However, if a kangaroo rat drinks water, the necessary bodily liquids and vitamins are flushed out, and it dies as a result of dehydration.
Can you guess what animals might have blue blood? Lobsters, crabs, pillbugs, shrimp, octopus, crayfish, scallops, barnacles, snails, small worms (except earthworms), clams, squid, slugs, mussels, horseshoe crabs, most spiders. None of these animals have backbones. Some of these animals are Mollusks, like the snails.
BATON ROUGE – Green blood is one of the most unusual characteristics in the animal kingdom, but it's the hallmark of a group of lizards in New Guinea. Prasinohaema are green-blooded skinks, or a type of lizard.
A lion would almost certainly win in a fight against a gorilla. The reasoning should not be all that surprising. A lion will stalk and ambush a gorilla in the dense vegetation of their natural habitat by waiting until it's dark to have the edge. They have a good chance at ending the fight in seconds.
Human bites are exactly what they sound like, though they are a little more dangerous than you might think. Compared with other mammals (like dogs, bears and big cats), humans don't have the strongest bite, at 162 lbs per square inch. However, if the skin is broken, tendons and joints may be damaged.
