Babies who are planned are more likely to be born healthy than babies who aren't planned. If you're planning to have a baby, you're more likely to get healthy before you get pregnant and to get early and regular prenatal care during pregnancy. Prenatal care is medical care you get during pregnancy.
What do we mean by "healthy pregnancy"? A pregnancy that lasts the full nine months. A pregnancy that results in a healthy baby (or babies) weighing at least five and a half pounds who has no birth defects.
A vaginal birth is usually the safest way for your baby to be born. But even if you're planning a vaginal birth, it's good to find out about giving birth via caesarean. You might need a planned caesarean because of health problems or pregnancy complications like placenta praevia.
First-borns are 3 per cent more likely to have high blood pressure than second-borns and 7 per cent more likely than fifthborns. They're also 4 per cent more likely to be overweight than second-borns and 10 per cent more likely than fifth-borns. However, first-borns are more likely to report better mental health.
Establishing a baby bedtime routine
You may feel ready to introduce a bedtime routine when your baby is around 3 months old. Getting them into a simple, soothing bedtime routine can be a great opportunity to have 1-to-1 time with your baby.
Smoking, drinking alcohol, or taking certain drugs during pregnancy. Having certain medical conditions, such as being obese or having uncontrolled diabetes before and during pregnancy. Taking certain medications, such as isotretinoin (a drug used to treat severe acne). Having someone in your family with a birth defect.
Advancing maternal age.
A woman's chances of giving birth to a child with Down syndrome increase with age because older eggs have a greater risk of improper chromosome division. A woman's risk of conceiving a child with Down syndrome increases after 35 years of age.
Sexual positions that allow for deep penetration are likely to be the best for conception as they allow the sperm to be deposited as close to the cervix as possible. The missionary position is often recommended for this reason.
Eat fresh fruits
If you want to give birth to a beautiful baby, plan your meals to include nourishing food. Fruits like mangoes, papaya, oranges, bananas, and African cherries should be in your diet. There are many other seasonal fruits, and you'll do well to eat them if you want beautiful babies.
Moreover, other research has reported that last-born and only children are happier than first-and middle-born among US young children (20).
Two other studies in Evolution & Human Behavior, one in 2000 and one in 2007, found that newborns actually look more like their mothers than their fathers in the first three days of their lives, as judged by unrelated assessors.
But a statistical study of centenarians by researchers at the University of Chicago has found some other potential predictors of extreme longevity. Women and men who were the first born in large families, the study found, were two to three times more likely to make it to 100 than later-born children.
Vaginal birth is much safer than a C-section for most women and babies. Sometimes a C-section is the only safe option, like when the baby is positioned side-to-side in the belly (transverse lie) or the placenta is covering the cervix (placenta previa).
Although being afraid of childbirth is natural and understandable, it is important to know that a C-section can be painful and have many risks. Overall, vaginal birth requires less recovery time, has fewer risks, and a shorter hospital stay. This makes it the ideal choice for a healthy pregnancy.
The risks of caesareans are related to having major surgery and there are longer recovery times and that can interfere with the initiation of breastfeeding. Women who have vaginal births have a slightly higher risk of internal injuries.
DNA. Everyone knows that DNA is what determines your baby's appearance. But DNA is a very complex subject. Everything from hair color, eye color, height, and weight to the placement of dimples or freckles can be dictated by you or your partner's (or both!)
