The King of the Jungle most often refers to: Lion.
The tiger and lion are both apex predators, meaning they are both at the top of a food chain with no natural predators of their own. Both have sharp paws and teeth, suitable for tearing flesh from their prey, and are expert hunters. The tiger and lion are candidates for the throne of king of the jungle. /VCG.
King of a tree-less jungle
Lions have famously acquired the title of 'King of the Jungle'. However, the title is a little misleading as lions don't actually live in jungles (and as we found out earlier, they don't have kings!). Their habits include scrubland, grasslands, savannahs and rocky hills, but not jungles.
Lions are the monarchs of the jungle due to their raw power and strength. Lions have no fear of other animals, yet they do have adversaries, much like a monarch. The hyena is the lion's worst foe. Because hyenas and lions consume the same food, hyenas and lions frequently fight over food.
Because the lion is considered the king of the jungle, it makes sense that the queen of the jungle would be a female lion, which is referred to as a lioness.
Scientists say that in a fight between a Bengal tiger and an African lion, there is a 90 per cent chance that the tiger will win. A tiger is slightly faster than a lion, arguably more ferocious, and more agile. A tiger is also 5 per cent taller and 8 per cent heavier than a lion.
A male lion's long, thick mane not only softens an enemy's blows, it also makes his head look bigger – perhaps giving it an appearance of being crowned. Horses are regal. Gorillas are fearsome. But lions are often called 'the king of beasts.
Differences in size
Tigers are the largest felines in the world and can reach up to 12.5 feet in length (including the tail) and up to 650 pounds. On their part, lions tend to weigh between 330 and 550 kilos and measure between 6.5 and 11 feet.
Generally, a lion is considered faster than a Tiger, as a lion has a speed of 50 miles per hour; so therefore could cover a distance of 80.5 Kilometers in an hour. While a Tiger has a top speed of 40 miles per hour, and as such could only cover a distance of 64 kilometers in an hour.
However, a lion coalition of 2–3 males would have a clear advantage over a lone tiger. A group of 2–4 female lions would have a similar advantage over a lone tigress. They conclude that while one on one, a tiger would certainly best a lion, in the wild the lion pride could hold their own against the solitary tiger.
A lion would almost certainly win in a fight against a gorilla. The reasoning should not be all that surprising. A lion will stalk and ambush a gorilla in the dense vegetation of their natural habitat by waiting until it's dark to have the edge. They have a good chance at ending the fight in seconds.
Despite Tiger being the biggest among all the cats, the lion is called the king of the jungle not because it's the strongest but because the lion poses kingship abilities that the Tigers don't.
Black Panther's real name is T'Challa, and he is depicted as the king and protector of the fictional African nation of Wakanda.
The Greek God Poseidon, King of the Sea.
Your weapon is whatever you get or have in hand. With his canines and claws, he can hurt fatally. Tigers avoid fights. But if they get into the fight they will go for the kill, until and unless they are surprised by you, and just want to escape.
A bear would win a fight against a lion. Bears have the advantage in just about every aspect, from size to offensive capabilities. The only time that a lion would win is if it managed to sneak up and ambush a bear, leaping onto it and biting into its head with such power that it shattered the skill.
In the battle of the grizzly bear vs tiger, a Siberian tiger would win a fight against a grizzly bear. The Siberian tiger is an ambush predator, and it's the only big cat that comes close to the grizzly bear in terms of size and power.
Elephant
In brute strength, elephants are the strongest mammals and the strongest land animals.
Aside from humans, lions are the only predators powerful enough to kill an elephant. The males, being 50% heavier than the females, are especially suited to the task. It typically takes seven lionesses to kill an elephant, but just two males could do the same. Even a single male can overpower a young elephant.
Animals with no natural predators are called apex predators, because they sit at the top (or apex) of the food chain. The list is indefinite, but it includes lions, grizzly bears, crocodiles, giant constrictor snakes, wolves, sharks, electric eels, giant jellyfish, killer whales, polar bears, and arguably, humans.
Tigers are indeed the apex land predator , but they can actually be taken down by way too many animals , and in many occasions easily. So , the first animal that could destroy a tiger would be the elephant. Both Asian elephants , bush elephants and forest elephants could easily kill a tiger.
A lion would win a fight against a king cobra. The lion has many advantages that would help it in this endeavor. For one thing, the lion only needs one bite to completely kill the king cobra. With a running start, it could easily snatch up the snake in its paws and bite its head off before the snake could react.
Long ago, tigers had to be very big to compete with the other large animals they lived with. Only known by a few fossils, the Ngangdong tiger is the largest and strongest tiger to ever grace the planet and went extinct thousands of years ago.
