Sustainability is at heart of the Gen Z values and they have once again popularized the thrift culture, due to become a $51 billion business by 2025. But at the same time, they also can't seem to get away from fast fashion.
The highest percentage of Gen Z mobile internet users on a social app is on YouTube, with 84% visiting the app. This is followed by TikTok at 61%, Snapchat at 58%, and Instagram at 56%.

This often means growing the hair to a longer length and using hair care products that enhance the hair's natural texture rather than hide it. Styles like the curly fringe, the shag, and the textured crop have all become popular choices.
Streetwear and athleisure: Gen Z's love for streetwear and athleisure has skyrocketed in recent years. Incorporate comfortable joggers, hoodies, and sneakers into your wardrobe. Mix and match athletic-inspired pieces with everyday outfits for an effortlessly cool vibe.
According to the Cigna study, 39% say worries about money are a major cause of stress. In addition, according to a study by DailyPay and Harris Poll, 48% say they are unable to move out of their parents' homes due to financial challenges, and 33% are concerned inflation will make it tough for them to buy a home.
They're nostalgic. Gen Z are 19% more likely than other generations to say they prefer to think about the past rather than the future. Their fondness for the past is most prevalent in their music and fashion preferences, with 90s music their second-favorite genre (among Gen Zs).
Students fear a lack of finances and fulfilment
The greatest fears for Generation Z centre on not achieving their hopes and dreams for the future.

Calorie counting was the most common diet among Gen Z, but plant-based or vegetarian eating has grown in popularity since 2017. As of 2022, more than half of Gen Z consumers eat at least a partially vegetarian diet. Of that group, 21 percent reported being strictly vegan.
