The Patronus is one of the most powerful defensive charms known to wizardkind.
The Killing Curse ('Avada Kedavra')
If this countdown were about which spell is the most unforgivable we might agree – but weirdly enough it's not. In our eyes, the quick death afforded by Avada Kedavra seems to us a (very slightly) better option than suffering the curses below.
Protego is a spell used to guard its caster from incoming spells. It doesn't work against the killing curse. It is coined from the Latin verb 'protego', 'to protect' (lit. to cover over).
The Killing Curse is a spell that causes instantaneous death and is one of the three Unforgivable Curses. Its incantation is Avada Kedavra. The only known counter-spell is sacrificial protection, which uses the magic of love. However, one may dodge the green bolt or block it with a physical barrier.
For example, in the introductory quest for the Crossed Wands duelling club, you're pitted against students using yellow Protgego shields. To break these, you need to use a levitating spell like Levioso - characterised by its yellow colour in effect and its category colour in your arsenal.
Avada Kedavra
It's used to kill people, it's an Unforgivable Curse, and it was Voldemort's favourite, so it's going last.
The darkest of the Dark Arts, Harry Potter unforgivable curses are the Cruciatus Curse, the Imperius Curse, and the Killing Curse. Although the curses are highly illegal, Harry using Unforgivable Curses happened, but he uses them once he was thrust into the Second Wizarding War.
Firestorm. Firestorm was a spell that created a large ring of fire around the caster's wand. This spell is one of the last and most powerful spells that Albus Dumbledore cast using the elder wand before his death.
As the youngest Weasley, we're sure Ginny observed more than her fair share of unpleasant spells over the years but it was the Bat Bogey Hex she was famous for – and with good reason.
Malfoy spots Harry and casts a Cruciatus curse; Harry, defending himself, using the Half-Blood Prince's Sectumsempra spell without knowing its effects. To his horror, it gashes Draco's face and chest, spilling his blood everywhere. Moaning Myrtle flies off, screaming.
Expecto Patronum, or the Patronus Charm, will cast a Patronus, which can appear as simply white vapour, or in more advanced casters, as a silvery-white animal shape. If it takes the shape of an animal, it is called a corporeal Patronus. This spell is used to ward off Dementors, which are the guardians of Azkaban.
Extended Description. The three curses that are classified as Unforgivable are the Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus Curse, and the Killing Curse. Mad-Eye Moody introduces Harry and his class to these curses in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
The three Unforgivable Curses in Harry Potter are Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra, and all three are available to Hogwarts Legacy players.

Voldemort's greatest fear is death and as a result a boggart takes the form of his own corpse. It is unsurprising that this is Voldemort's biggest fear. After all, he did split his soul up encasing it in various horcruxes just so to keep himself from dying.
For example, despite being furious with Bellatrix Lestrange for her murder of his godfather in 1996, Harry Potter was only able to cause her a brief moment of pain with the Cruciatus Curse because he used it out of "righteous anger", though he was still able to knock her off of her feet with it.
Evanesco. Evanesco is an extremely interesting and difficult spell to learn and perform. It's a unique transfiguration spell that makes things vanish. Now don't get this confused with an invisibility spell, because this is not an illusion.
Alohomora, also known as the Unlocking Charm is a spell used by wizards and witches in the Harry Potter universe to open a lock. It is first seen when Hermione uses it to open the lock on a door to escape the caretaker, Argus Filch.
