Arishem is so powerful that he created the Eternals, a race of beings that, in and of themselves, are also incredibly powerful. His intentions may not always align with what's good for the Earth, but Arishem is probably the most powerful being we've met in the MCU, at least to date.
Wanda might not have started her journey as the most powerful character in the MCU. However, as we enter Phase 5 of the MCU, there's still no other character who exhibits so much raw power. Without the help of any magic item, such as an Infinity Stone, the Scarlet Witch can still make reality bend to her will.
But after the release of WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's pretty clear that the Scarlet Witch is among the most powerful. Wanda Maximoff has never truly been defeated, only "losing" to the combined forces of Doctor Strange, Wong, and America Chavez after realizing the error in her ways.
Thor. The title of Strongest and Most Powerful Avenger belongs to none other than the god of thunder. He was once the King of Asgard before passing the crown to Valkyrie. He was a founding member of the Avengers, the Revengers and a temporary member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
1 The One Above All (Marvel Comics)
The One Above All is effectively the Marvel equivalent of The Presence only without the weakness, making him the most powerful comic book character of all time.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
Warning: Spoilers for All-Out Avengers #5Marvel's Spider-Man can officially defeat Captain Marvel with one of the most terrifying web attacks in recent memory - and something that seems too cruel for Peter Parker.
Hawkeye might be considered the weakest Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to the extent of his abilities, but his best superpower has nothing to do with a bow and arrow.
Tony Stark is the smartest of them all, having been responsible for some of the most incredible inventions to have ever graced the Marvel universe, including the Arc Reactor and one of the most sophisticated artificial intelligence systems known to man.
When it comes to the Avengers who can beat Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange is undoubtedly one of the most potent contenders. His ability to manipulate the fabric of reality and his mastery of the mystic arts make him a formidable adversary.
This revelation sheds light on how Wanda uses her powers, and she needs her sense of sight to control her hexes. If there's one superhero who can totally beat her, it would be Spider-Man.
Spider man is super friendly, which will allow the witch to go first and then it's over. If spiderman attacked all out from the moment of combat - he's quicker, faster, stronger — he'd win.
Hulk. It's impossible to have a conversation about who the strongest Avenger is without at least mentioning the Incredible Hulk. This enormous green rage monster is the physical embodiment of brute strength, capable of storming through any obstacle in his path and going toe-to-toe with even the most formidable enemies.
In the Infinity Conflict storyline, Astral Regulator Thanos defeated The One Above All. This was achieved by using the powerful artifacts of creation known as the Astral Regulators, which The One Above All created to prevent the universes from colliding with each other and causing destruction.
Hawkeye. Clint Barton is likely one of the first characters that come to mind when the subject of superheroes without powers comes up. Despite his lack of powers, Hawkeye might be one of the most dangerous members of the Avengers.
While Quicksilver is often thought of as the fastest of the Avengers, one hero fans know from the movies can actually outrace him when they need to. Many heroes possess enhanced speed, but Pietro Maximoff is generally considered Earth's fastest man (at least in Marvel Continuity).
Spider-Man can be pretty silly, but he's tough as nails and his spider-senses and agility, combined with super strength, have allowed him to beat Hawkeye every time they've fought.
That villain is, of course, Kang the Conqueror, who's set to be the Avengers' next opponent in the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. And while Thanos is certainly a hard act to follow, Kang may be a far greater threat than the Mad Titan ever was.
Originally said to have the ability to alter probability, the Scarlet Witch has been depicted as a powerful sorceress since the 1980s and on occasion has become powerful enough to alter reality by tapping into greater energy sources.
The theory posits Ego, Odin, and The Ancient One as three of Thanos' greatest fears, and he waited until all of them were dead to make his move.
In terms of impact on the MCU characters, yes, Thanos is the baddest of them all. He kills half the universe! But in terms of "best" villains—characters who are fascinating, charismatic, and dare I say empathetic—Thanos doesn't quite top this list.
Beyonder is, by far, the most powerful villain in the Marvel universe. He can manipulate and control matter, energy, and reality at a cosmic level beyond far greater than what other cosmic entities can do. He can warp reality to, in theory, simulate any power he wants.
