Carabosse was one of the fairies who lived in Sleeping Beauty's kingdom - in Perrault's version, she is the eighth fairy, and in the Grimms' version, she is the thirteenth.
Original character Terra, an Earth fairy, mentions her cousin Flora to the group. Terra briefly explains that Flora is a second year at Alfea, like Stella, and also an Earth fairy (because of course she is, considering Flora is the Earth fairy in the animated series).
Flora has a color scheme that is predominantly red with her petticoat, cape clasp cuffs, and hat veil a dark yellow. She appears to be the leader of the group, and based on her dialogue in the film, she seems to deal heavily with flowers and nature; her favorite color is pink.
In the original story written by the Grimm brothers in the 19th century, Sleeping Beauty was named Briar Rose. When Disney made a new version of the tale it was decided she would use both the names Aurora and Sleeping Beauty, although the three fairies refer to her as Briar Rose in order to conceal her identity.
In the ballet she is Aurora. In the German version, she is named Briar Rose. The film incorporates both names by having Princess Aurora use the name Briar Rose while undercover. Princess Aurora's long, thin, willowy body shape was inspired by that of Audrey Hepburn.
