A $2 Vietnam War coin has skyrocketed in value. The first coin was an uncirculated $2 C Mintmark gold coin, with a retail price of $15 and a mintage of 80,000. The second was a $2 C Mintmark silver coin, with a retail price of $80 and a mintage of just 5,000.
One is made of the same traditional gold colour of Australian $2 coins and was minted 80,000 times. However, the second, which is a silver colour, was only minted 500 times. Due to this small number, it could be worth up to $1200, according to a coin expert.
The set was originally sold for $170 - however in recent days, the sets have been valued at as much as $6,000. Kandiah says it's the demand for the $2 Mars coin is driving the huge spike in price for the collection.
“Coins made in 1988 and 1989 with 'HH' on them are only worth $2,” he said in the video. “As there were 198 million of these minted.”

The Royal Australian Mint has released a $2 collectors' coin to celebrate 200 years since the introduction of the European honeybee. At the time of writing, one of the 60,000 uncirculated coins was selling for as high as A$36 – but that's not the only sting in the tail of this commemorative release.
The $2 coin is made of 92% copper, 6% aluminium and 2% nickel. It is circular in shape, and has an interrupted milled edge.

1849 Double Eagle Gold Coin
The one remaining specimen is carefully preserved at National Numismatic Collections at the Smithsonian Institution. The 1849 Double Eagle is currently the rarest and most valuable coin in the world, with an estimated worth of nearly $20 million.
How much will they cost? “On Thursday, the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) will release a 2022 C-mintmark version of the famous 2012 Red Poppy $2 coin,” Kandiah said. “60,000 coins will be minted and they will cost $15 each. “There won't be any released into circulation, nor any mint rolls will be made.”
The original red poppy coins were released in 2012, Mr Kandiah said, and had a mintage of 503,000 – 40,902 of which were C-mintmarked.
