Phoenix. This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.
Inflexible wands are rare. They are difficult to teach, and are powerful, but not overly so. Rigid wands are easily the most powerful wands and the hardest to teach. They are also known as unyielding.
The three 'common' cores are dragon heartstrings, phoenix tail feathers, and unicorn tail hairs. Wands made with a dragon heartstring core are the most powerful and produce the most flamboyant spells. They possess a lot of magical "heft," per say.
They Are Extremely Rare
While the other two Supreme Cores are very common (and the most common named core material in the series), Phoenix Feathers are described in this universe as extremely rare. At first glance, this would seem to make sense - the birds themselves are rare, and deeply attached to specific people.
Phoenix feather is the rarest core type known to wandlore. Wands made with this core are known to be perfect in any situation, as they possess the "greatest range of magic." However, one of the most intriguing aspects of a phoenix feather wand is that it can take the initiative independently.
The wand belonging to Minerva McGonagall (the incomparable Maggie Smith) is simply stunning and extremely elegant. 9½ inches long, made of fir wood with a dragon heartstring core with a round handle. As a cat Animagus, the wand later proved to be extremely useful for transfiguration.

Elder. The rarest wand wood of all, and reputed to be deeply unlucky, the elder wand is trickier to master than any other. It contains powerful magic, but scorns to remain with any owner who is not the superior of his or her company; it takes a remarkable wizard to keep the elder wand for any length of time.
The Elder Wand is the coolest wand in all of Harry Potter for many reasons. First and foremost, it is one of the three objects that make up the Deathly Hallows.
In the center of each wand is a core taken from a plant or animal that is believed to hold mystical powers. This is what gives wands the oomph to channel magic through them. In some cases, wands may have two cores, called a "dual core", though usually the second core is drastically less powerful than the first core.
Most wands will be in the range of between nine and fourteen inches. While I have sold extremely short wands (eight inches and under) and very long wands (over fifteen inches), these are exceptionally rare. In the latter case, a physical peculiarity demanded the excessive wand length.
Still not the biggest, though… Warner Bros. Professor Umbridge's wand is actually the smallest of all the wands we meet in the Wizarding World at just 10.5 inches…
Umbridge's magical object overall is definitely one of the weakest wands in Harry Potter.
Unicorn hair
The most faithful of all wands, they usually remain attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch of wizard.
Ollivander's shop in Diagon Alley had changed the way that wands were created. Before Garrick Ollivander's practice of using only the three "Supreme Cores", it was common for witches and wizards to present a wandmaker with a magical substance to which they had a particular attachment for use as a wand core.
Unicorn Hair Is One Of The 'Supreme Cores'
(It's no coincidence that these are the three most common types of wand core in the series, either, or that Harry, Ron, and Hermione have one of each.)
The Phoenix Buster is one of Iron Man's most powerful armors. It worked, and the Phoenix Force was broken up into different segments. These segments took on hosts of their own, eventually becoming the Phoenix Five, but Tony Stark was able to beat it temporarily.
The Phoenix Force has held its own against other cosmic powerhouses like Galactus, meaning it could take down the Celestials as well.
Jean Grey: The most powerful and complete Phoenix Force and host combination. Together they became the White Phoenix of the Crown. Death has stated that Jean is the rightful owner of the Phoenix Force and the embodiment of the Phoenix.
When, at 11 years old, Harry first visits Ollivander's he tests many, many wands until he finds the one that performs for him (the wand chooses the wizard and whatnot): an 11-inch holly and with a phoenix feather core. Ollivander pronounces it curiously. He tells Harry, “I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr.
Bellatrix Lestrange is a wizard who has two wands, one curved and the other inflexible in walnut that contains dragon ventricle. She is a faithful very close to Lord Voldemort and enemy of Harry Potter, she practices black magic.
When asked what her own wand would be, Rowling said phoenix feather and walnut, because she loves walnut wood (CR).
