Canberra is Australia's leading 'smart city', providing its residents with top ratings for a range of quality indicators, including housing affordability, public transport, employment, and community participation, according to new Victoria University research.

Massachusetts, with an average IQ of 104.3, is the state that ranks highest for average IQ in the United States, but only by 0.1, as New Hampshire comes in second with a score of 104.2.

Con: It's expensive
As the second most expensive city in Australia (Sydney takes the top spot), living in Melbourne will cost you. From rent to groceries, you can expect to pay more here than other capitals in the country.
