Psychologists say that love is the strongest emotion. Humans experience a range of emotions from happiness to fear and anger with its strong dopamine response, but love is more profound, more intense, affecting behaviors, and life-changing.
Generally, people tend to view anger as one of our strongest and most powerful emotions. Anger is a natural and "automatic" human response, and can in fact, serve to help protect us from harm. While angry behavior can be destructive, angry feelings themselves are merely a signal that we may need to do something.
One of the most powerful emotions anyone can feel is fear.
Reason is infinitely more powerful than emotion if we make proper and conscious use of it. It allows us to regulate the emotional response. It leads us to balance the conflict. It gives us the ability to feel our emotions properly and modulate them in response to a stressful stimulus.
Love is a powerful force because it drives, directs, navigates, and gives meaning to our existence. While hate encourages loneliness, love forbids it. While hate undermines individuality, love strengthens it. Incredible acts of giving come from love, but aggressive behaviour comes from hatred.
Love is stronger than fear, but fear will win out unless we allow love to empower sacrificial action in the world. Love is stronger than fear, but only if we participate in love. Only as we entrust ourselves to love. Only as we allow love to nourish us.
Happiness. Of all the different types of emotions, happiness tends to be the one that people strive for the most.
There's no feeling quite like feeling powerful. It makes you feel bold, confident and motivated. It feels like YOU are in control of your life, and no one else. You stand a little taller and carry yourself like the strong, capable person you believe you are (and we love to see it!).
Many people say that one of the most difficult emotions to handle is anger. Anger can weaken your ability to solve problems effectively, make good decisions, handle changes, and get along with others. Concerns about anger control are very common.
Jealousy can be a powerful and painful emotion, and this negative emotion can end almost any relationship. If left untreated, jealousy can create a permanent wedge between you and your partner, while negatively affecting future relationships.
While fear leads us to feel vulnerable and not in control, anger can be energizing and empowering. As such, it can become the go-to reaction to experiencing fear. Unlike fear, it moves us toward the source of our anger.
This makes love more difficult – fear “threatens or prevents love”. So that's why fear can seem more powerful than love. It is more primitive and in some senses easier than love. (Fear is said to be associated with a part of our brains we share other vertebrates, the amygdala.)
Hope is More Powerful than Fear.
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.
Being enamored of something or with someone goes far beyond liking them, and it's even more flowery than love. Enamored means smitten with, or totally infatuated. Someone enamored with another will perhaps even swoon.
Agape — Selfless Love. Agape is the highest level of love to offer.
Anger is a secondary emotion
Typically, we experience a primary emotion like fear, loss, or sadness first. Because these emotions create feelings of vulnerability and loss of control, they make us uncomfortable. One way of attempting to deal with these feelings is by subconsciously shifting into anger.
Love – The Purest Emotion.
Ekman proposed seven basic emotions: fear, anger, joy, sad, contempt, disgust, and surprise; but he changed to six basic emotions: fear, anger, joy, sadness, disgust, and surprise.
People who have philophobia have a fear of love. This fear is so intense that they find it difficult, sometimes impossible, to form and maintain loving relationships. “Philos” is the Greek word for loving or beloved. “Phobos” (phobia) is the Greek word for fear.
It's called guilt. Guilt is more dangerous than fear or greed because these two emotions are largely caused by external factors—the fall and rise of the stock market, for example.
Philophobia is a rare type of phobia defined as the fear of love, being loved by someone, or being connected to someone emotionally.
