Capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, is a state-sanctioned practice of killing a person as a punishment for a crime. It has historically been used in almost every part of the world.
Scaphism. Scaphism was one of the worst and most painful, skin-crawling methods of torture. It was described by the Greeks as a punishment used by the Persians, and if they are to be believed, those Persians were insane.
Felony. The most serious type of crime a person can commit is termed as a felony. Felonies can often involve physical harm or an intent to cause physical harm to another person.
