The Darksaber
The blade was crafted by the first Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla, in 1032 BBY. It is unique for its black, narrow blade, which responds to the emotional state of those who wield it. It was perfect for parrying since it actually drew rival lightsabers to its blade.
The Forbidden Forms were forms of lightsaber combat used by the Sith during the Sith Wars. According to the testimonies of the Jedi Cervil the Uncanny, lightwhips—a lightsaber variant with a flexible blade—were used to defend against Sith Lords who utilized the forms.
Beskar. The most well-known example of a lightsaber-resistant material, beskar is inexorably tied to Mandalorian culture. The iconic Mandalorian suit of armor, made famous but Boba Fett, Din Djarin, and Sabine Wren, is traditionally made of beskar and is passed down through Mandalorian clans for generations.
Description. Bleeding was accomplished by pouring rage, hate, fear and pain into a kyber crystal by means of the dark side of the Force, until the crystal changed, resulting in the crimson-bladed lightsabers associated almost exclusively with dark side adepts.
The blade has even been used as a tool to weld metal. Other times, the lightsaber has been shown to cause bleeding wounds in the flesh, sometimes accompanied by burns.
During his years as a Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi fought with three lightsabers.
The Firebrand was a basic design of lightsaber hilt that was used by Jedi Initiates as well as Knights of the New Jedi Order as of 14 ABY. An all black hilt, it was known to have a stable grip and was equipped with a thin deflector ring to protect the wielder from energy backlash.
While he is not Force-sensitive, Grievous has been trained in all forms of lightsaber combat by Count Dooku. Each of his mechanical arms can separate in half, allowing him to wield four lightsabers at once to overwhelm his enemies.
Jedi Battlemaster Cin Drallig and Grand Master Yoda had knowledge and mastery of all seven forms, including Juyo, befitting Drallig's role as lightsaber combat instructor at the Jedi Temple and Yoda's reputation of having mastered all forms of lightsaber combat as did Anoon Bondara, another lightsaber instructor.
The shading purple speaks to moral uncertainty, reconstruction, and recovery. Therefore, the individuals that used a purple lightsaber generally shared an affinity with both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
Form VIII: Kendosu, or the Way of the Varactyl, was a new swordplay style developed during the Great Galactic War by Jedi Knight Scott Borek.
History. Asajj Ventress and Ahsoka Tano were two notable practitioners of Jar'Kai, preferring to use two lightsabers as opposed to one. The cyborg General Grievous had been outfitted with arms that could split in half, enabling him to choose between holding two lightsabers or four lightsabers.
As a Padawan, Ahsoka Tano used a green-bladed lightsaber, often wielding it in a non-standard reverse grip. Under the tutelage of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka became a skilled duelist, and built a second green-bladed lightsaber with a shorter, shoto-style blade.
The lightclub, also known as a great lightsaber or greatsaber, was a weapon similar to a lightsaber. However, special focusing crystals and power systems enabled this rare lightsaber to project a blade up to three meters in length. These large lightsabers were generally used only by beings of immense stature.
Few Jedi were permitted to perform Morichro. Flow-Walking — Rare power that allows user to enter the past, alter it, and change the course of the future. Force Walk — With immense strength of will, a Sith could bind restless Sith ghosts to themselves, siphoning power.
While the term was used to refer to Force-users who walked the line between light and dark, Jedi were also labeled as Gray Jedi for distancing themselves from the Jedi High Council. This practice dated back to the days of the Old Republic, when the High Council was attempting to consolidate power.
Chirrut Îmwe was a blind human male, with pale blue eyes, black hair, and tan skin. Although he lacked Force abilities, Îmwe was a strong believer in it and the Jedi way, carrying a simple staff and traditional lightbow bowcaster, contrasting greatly with his partner's more pragmatic personality.
Tenel Ka Djo, the Princess of Hapes, had a tiara of rainbow gems worth the price of an entire solar system. She used some of the crystals in her second lightsaber, after her first one malfunctioned and led to the loss of her arm.
Ventress fought with twin red-bladed lightsabers, and clashed with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker many times. But her destiny would not lie with the Sith.
Among the Jedi, Priapulin Master Skwelli was renowned for wielding six lightsabers.
It is possible to purify a kyber crystal that had previously been bled. A crystal so purified would no longer project a red blade.
Michael: He didn't bleed to death. Lightsabers are so hot they seal up the blood vessels.
George Lucas says lightsabers are heavy
“That we couldn't take a hand off [the hilt]. We always had to have two. It was like Excalibur, 40 to 50 pounds of weight.” Lucas doubled down too, saying “They're very powerful and have a lot of energy in them... so you worked with them as if they were heavy.”
