Yoriichi wears a red haori with black hakama over an orange kimono and a katana worn on his hip. He also wears the hanafuda earrings that were created by his mother and later passed on to Sumiyoshi and his descendants, including Tanjuro and Tanjiro Kamado.
Yoriichi cared for his ailing mother when no one else knew she was ill and protected his father by not telling anyone about how he berated him as a child, even when his father did not love him. He respected his older twin brother and he kept the flute Michikatsu gave him before he left home all the way till his death.
Tanjiro's ancestor was a good friend of Yoriichi and arguably was one of his only true friends. Therefore Yoriichi gave the earrings as a gift, and since then they have been passed down the generations until they reached Tanjiro.
Tanjiro's connection to Yoriichi is not through blood relation, but through their similar appearances, which is due to the divine nature of Sun Breathing.
This technique later became the Hinokami Kagura, which passed through the family for generations. Before Yoriichi left the Kamado family, he entrusted Sumiyoshi with his hanafuda earrings. These earrings became symbolic of Yoriichi's legacy, and Sumiyoshi ensured they would be remembered through his family.
Demon Slayer's season 3's latest episode has left fans on edge with Tanjiro's discovery of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's Type Zero sword.
During episode three we learned that the Yoriichi Type Zero was built by Kontetsu's ancestors more than 300 years ago, during the Sengoku era.
Tanjiro and his father look extremely similar to each other. Fans think that Tanjiro was related to the legendary swordsman since he had the same earrings, and their appearances are similar as well. However, Tanjiro is not a descendant of Yoriichi Tsukiguni.
Some of the characters who have faced Yoriichi and survived
This happened due to a treatment that had gone wrong. While he was being treated, Muzan killed the doctor because he was not able to observe any results.
No, they are not related.
10 Yoriichi Is A Longtime Friend Of The Kamados
Although it's interesting that all the Kamado men have the same auburn hair and Hanafuda earrings, there's no blood relation whatsoever.
Michikatsu, who snuck around behind their father's back to see his brother, pitied Yoriichi, who was thought to be deaf until he was seven and clung to his mother's side at all time. At some point, he gave Yoriichi a flute he made as a gift.
Akeno Tsugikuni
When she died, Yoriichi left immediately. Akeno loved both Michikatsu and Yoriichi dearly as she did not allow her husband to kill Yoriichi, due to his mark. It can also be implied Yoriichi loved her as much as she did.
Hinokami Kagura aka the Sun Breathing is the first breathing technique in Demon Slayer. It was developed by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the first demon slayer to ever exist and one of the strongest Demon Slayer characters.
Besides Sun Breathing, Yoriichi possessed a wide range of traits and abilities common with the strongest demon slayers in the series. For example, he was born with the demon slayer mark, greatly enhancing his physical capabilities.
Yoriichi was the very first user of the Breathing Styles and he came up with Sun Breathing, a powerful breathing form that is known to be the most effective against demons. It's through Sun Breathing that all the other Breathing Forms have been derived.
Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat. Such was his reputation and skill in swordsmanship.
When Yoriichi moved forward to kill him, Muzan used the remains of whatever power he had left and divided his body in a powerful burst. Though Yoriichi was able to destroy nearly all the fragments, the pieces he missed escaped and allowed Muzan to regenerate again.
Yoriichi lived till old age, likely due to him having been born with the mark and thereby avoiding the curse altogether. Gyomei on the other hand did not activate his Mark until he was already older than 25. It was speculated that when he awoke his Mark during battle that he would likely die within hours.
As it turned out, the scar on Tanjiro's forehead did have some significance to it, rather than simply being a Todoroki-esque burn from scalding water. Tanjiro wasn't born with this scar on his forehead. Rather, he acquired it when tackling his younger brother out of the way of a falling pot of boiling tea.
Tanjuro Kamado a recurring flashback hero from Demon Slayer : Kimetsu No Yaiba. He was the husband of Kie Kamado, and the father of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
Since the mechanical doll was based off Yoriichi Tsugikuni, it had to be given six arms to recreate his swordsmanship style, the doll was also able to execute 108 various moves and is said to be stronger than an average human.
So now, Tanjiro, the protagonist of the Demon Slayer series, has access to a sword that belonged to the best swordsman to have ever lived. This sword was in bad condition, but Hotaru Haganezuka took it upon himself to restore the blade to its former glory.
This is the sword that appeared out of the neck of the doll at the end of Demon Slayer season three's second episode. In the manga Tanjiro has the sword repaired by Haganezuka, who he initially traveled to the Swordsmith Village to find.
