Zoro has been wielding a sword since time immemorial, and he has owned a fair share of them. The strongest of these swords are the Wado Ichimonji, Shusui, and Enma. Wado Ichimonji is Zoro's most treasured weapon as it was been given to him by his master after his childhood friend and greatest rival's untimely death.
Wado Ichimonji is one of the strongest swords in the world and was crafted by a master swordsmith, Shimotsuki Kozaburo. Kozaburo crafted the sword and left Wano, settling in East Blue a few years later. Zoro inherited the sword from his master after vowing to become the strongest swordsman in the world.
Being of the lowest grade of the three swords, Sandai Kitetsu is the weakest of all the Kitetsu swords. Its name also indicates it was the last of the three to be made. The panel of Zoro keeping Sandai Kitetsu in the manga is extremely similar to that of Zoro keeping Enma.
Shodai Kitetsu is the strongest known Kitetsu sword, supposedly crafted by the very first generation of Kitetsu swordsmiths. It was the first and the best of its kind; the Kitetsu swords crafted after Shodai Kitetsu were not of the same grade.
It would mean that Enma is technically a grade better than Shusui, the Shusui only being O Wazamono because it was blackened. This would explain why Enma is stronger, despite also being O Wazamono.
Nidai Kitetsu was the second to be made. It is graded in the Great Grade making it the middle of the three swords in terms of strength.
Yoru is one of the strongest swords in the world, ranked as one of the 12 Supreme Grade swords. It is a "Black Blade" (黒刀, Kokutō?) that is currently owned by Dracule Mihawk, the "Strongest Swordsman in the World".
During Zoro's very first usage of the Asura Style against Kaku, he used a technique called the "Demon Aura Nine Sword Style: Asura Ichibugin," and this technique was quite incredible in itself.
It was only destroyed due to rusting power of Shu's Sabi Sabi no Mi. When used by Zoro, Yubashiri was one of the three swords for his Three Sword Style style and it was typically used along with Sandai Kitetsu in his Two Sword Style techniques. When the sword was destroyed, Zoro replaced it with Shusui.
Shimotsuki Ryuma was a legendary, world-famous samurai hailing from the Shimotsuki Family of Wano Country, who lived during Wano's "Country of Gold" era centuries ago. He was revered for his mastery of swordsmanship that earned him the title Sword God, as well as his feat of slaying a dragon.
3/5 Wado Ichimonji
Wado Ichimonji is the first named sword that Roronoa Zoro carried in One Piece. It was forged by Shimotsuki Kozaburou, a person from Wano Country. This sword once belonged to Koushiro, the dojo master of Zoro from Shimotsuki village, and was meant to be inherited by Kuina, his daughter.
Roronoa Zoro had 5 swords throughout the series with one getting destroyed later on in the series. He was the first crew member that Luffy recruited. He was famously known as 'Pirate Hunter Zoro' as his profession before becoming a part of the Straw Hats crew was that of a bounty hunter.
Part of his training was to learn how to use Haki, and during this training, Mihawk told Zoro that with Haki, any blade can become a black blade like his. Using Armament Haki does turn Zoro's blades black, but unlike Yoru, they do not stay this way.
In its initial depictions, in the A-ra-shi: Reborn video, its tsuka is black, and its hamon is golden. As seen in the opening "DREAMIN' ON", Enma's anime color scheme is a violet tsuka, as well as a violet sheath.
The Enma is a sword gifted to Zoro by Kozuki Hiyori (previously wielded by Kozuki Oden) in exchange for his Shusui. According to swordsmith Tenguyama Hitetsu, the Enma is able to "cut through to the bottom of hell".
Zoro is known to carry three blades and currently, he wields the Wado Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu, and Enma.
Wano Country Arc
Shusui was later stolen by Gyukimaru, who returned it to Ryuma's grave. In order to have Shusui remain in Wano Country, Kozuki Hiyori offered her own Great Grade sword, Enma, to Zoro as a replacement for Shusui, a proposal that Zoro accepted.
This is a list showing the attacks Zoro used for his One Sword Style after his two years of training with Dracule Mihawk. The techniques he uses after the two years are mostly enhanced versions of his old ones.
Oni Giri (鬼斬り, Oni Giri?, literally meaning "Ogre Cutter"): Zoro's signature technique. A three-way simultaneous slashing attack. Zoro crosses his two swords across his chest and places the blade in his mouth horizontally behind them.
The Kitetsu III is one of the Wazamono grade swords, a "Sharp Sword". Like all of its predecessor Kitetsu swords, this one is said to be cursed. Zoro picked the sword from a barrel of cheap katanas in a shop at Loguetown after sensing its quality; Tashigi LESBAIN later identifies the sword from a catalogue.
During the crew's journey, Zoro has come to possess some of the most legendary swords in history and has used them to both improve his skills and develop the most devastating attacks.
Before the Straw Hats reached the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Nami asked Usopp to make her a new weapon. The result was the Clima-Tact, a three-piece staff that can affect the weather.
Ace is a cutlass that was owned and wielded by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, serving as his trademark weapon. It ranks as one of the 12 Supreme Grade Meito.
This weapon was first introduced when the Straw Hats finally reached Alubarna, in which the Clima-Tact is revealed to be a weapon that greatly resembles Nami's original three-piece bo-staff, with the segments made of hollow blue steel.
