Hydroquinone: Hydroquinone is one of the oldest and most effective treatments available to remove melanin from the skin. It decreases the number of melanocytes in the skin. Retinoids: Retinoids are vitamin A derivatives that function by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase.
