Jesus tells us to pray in such a way that we ask God to display the glory of His name. No request is of greater importance than this. We begin our prayers by declaring the unrivaled character of God and asking Him to move in such a way that the world would give Him the honor He alone deserves.
Father, purify my heart. Help me see my need for you so much that it drives me to prayer. Let humility be at the core of my soul, ever mindful of the vast difference between You and me and let me approach You with a humble heart. And purify me from unselfishness.
Whole-life worship is the kind that pleases God. "let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise and do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased (Hebrews 13:15, 16 NIV). A worship leader for more than thirty years, Dr.
Prayer may be expressed vocally or mentally. Vocal prayer may be spoken or sung. Mental prayer can be either meditation or contemplation.

One of the biggest types of prayer is a prayer of worship. Worshiping the Lord focuses on who God is. It is us recognizing God's power and majesty.
The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13): “'Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
We've defined the primary types of prayer: supplication, thanksgiving, adoration, confession, and intercession.
Hymns—Hymns are expressions of praise to God for who He is and what He has done. It is thought that some portions of the New Testament such as Colossians 1:15–20 and Philippians 2:6–11 were originally hymns sung in the early church. Our modern-day hymns express worship to God.

I want You to give me the strength to power through all of the tasks today — whether little or big. It is by Your will that I live oh Lord. And I know it is also by Your will I will not go weak today. I will not go lazy nor will I will fail to do all things set before me because You strengthen me.
Throughout Scripture, we see prayer as having several distinct but interrelated dimensions: praise, pardon, and petition. Prayer often begins with praise—acknowledging who God is and responding in worship.
A prayer rule is a set of prayers that is said every single day without fail. Most of the time, it is said in the morning and the evening, with shorter prayers, such as the Jesus Prayer, used throughout the day in addition to a prayer before meals. The goal is union with God.

Lord our God, we are your children. Hear all our concerns, we pray, for we want help from you, not from men, not from anything we can think or say. May your power be revealed in our time. We long for a new age, an age of peace in which people are changed.
