In Dragon Ball Super, when Goku Black informs Goku of how he stole Goku's body and Chi-Chi and Goten were murdered by him in his timeline, this caused Goku's anger to power him up. The power-up allowed Super Saiyan Blue Goku to overpower both Goku Black and Future Zamasu.
What triggers Goku? Threatening his friends and family. Goku cares deeply about his friends. When Frieza killed Krillin on Namek, Goku was so enraged that he unlocked a legendary transformation that was said to only appear once every 1,000 years.
He's Afraid of Needles. The fear of needles is a fairly common phobia, and it is one Goku proves to suffer from throughout this episode. The Dragon Ball fighter's fear is so severe, that Goku thinks just by going into a hospital, someone is going to stick him with a needle without his consent.
He is however not without fear. Goku is shown to be submissive to overbearing women like Bulma and Chi-Chi, even to the point of Master Roshi jokingly declaring that for all his immense power, he is terrified of his wife. In the anime, he also has aichmophobia, a crippling fear of needles.
Goku's intelligence is usually underestimated because he has a simple way of speaking, lack of vocabulary and poor understanding of typical social behavior/customs. However a lot of this can be explained with his upbringing. He used to be a boy that lived with his hermit grandfather in the forest.
1) Goku's fear of needles
His constant screaming and flailing required more than half a dozen people to hold him down. Eventually, Chi Chi comes in and, through her prodding at Goku's expense, reveals the Earth's hero is indeed afraid of needles.
Witnessing both sets of Dragon Balls being destroyed and then his family being slaughtered right before him would definitely drive Goku to tears.
Without a doubt, Pilaf is the weakest opponent Goku has ever faced in the franchise. Even with him and his cronies having advanced mech machinery at their disposal, they can't knock their childish opponent out.
He hates anything grape flavored. So much in fact that he refused to take the medicine Trunks gave him which nearly caused his death as a result. According to Roshi, Goku can't handle grapes; given that he was "sweating purple", Goku seems to have a strange allergic reaction to grapes or anything grape-related.
Goku is a genuinely nice person, but when he is pushed to the limit he becomes filled with rage. He is a true spiritual warrior who directs short term anger in explosive waves.
After attaining the Super Saiyan Rosé (超サイヤ人 ロゼ, Sūpā Saiya-jin Roze) transformation, explained as a “Goku Black version of Super Saiyan” for the anime, his version of the Super Saiyan Blue form (Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan) in the manga, Goku Black's hair turns bright pink, due to Zamasu's status as a deity.
Like his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue transformations, Ultra Instinct was susceptible to Gokū's rage, allowing him yet another explosive increase in power and speed whenever Jiren angered the Saiyan.
The boy is initially full of violence and aggression due to his Saiyan nature, until an accidental head injury turns him into a cheerful, carefree person. Grandpa Gohan's kindness and teachings help to further influence Goku, who later on names his first son Gohan in honor of him.
Starting off the list as Goku's weakest form is the original Dragon Ball transformation, the base Super Saiyan form. While still useful and powerful, even the mastered Super Saiyan form is the weakest of all the branch's transformations.
Re: It's just so weird hearing Goku curse.
Cursing in Japanese doesn't work quite the same as it does in English, but Gokuu has had very rude speech from the very beginning, prior to getting Kintoun.
yeah Vegeta would cry if Goku disappeared for good. Goku was the only one who taught Vegeta how to be a excellent warrior.
Turles' name in Japanese is a pun on the Japanese translation of the word "lettuce". Turles is the first evil version of Goku to appear, the second being Shadow Goku from Dragon Ball Heroes and the third being Goku Black from Dragon Ball Super.
Unlike nearly every character, Jiren is the only antagonist who isn't a villain. He is currently the strongest being Goku's ever fought, as seen in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power. Jiren's existence was a rumor in other universes; he's considered the only mortal that a God of Destruction cannot defeat.
Majin Buu. One of Dragon Ball Z's most ferocious and transformation-happy of characters, Majin Buu is the last major enemy in the Dragon Ball Z storyline. With the ability to absorb foes, learn moves, and deliver a serious punch, Majin Buu is one of Goku and friends' most challenging of enemies.
Goku: 76, even though you might think his IQ could be even lower sometimes, he often proves he can do some smart things too, especially while fighting and especially during DBZ.
Goku's fear of needles throughout Dragon Ball has become a cheap-gag-turned-fan-theory. The discussion of Goku's fear of needles stems from and was first discussed during the Namek arc, during the beginning of which a hospitalized Goku is seen being treated by doctors.
