God smiles when we praise and thank him continually. Few things feel better than receiving heartfelt praise and appreciation from someone else. God loves it, too. He smiles when we express our adoration and gratitude to him.
God smiles when we use our abilities.
He doesn't miss a single move you make. The Bible tells us,”The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Every human activity, except sin, can be done for God's pleasure if you do it with an attitude of praise.
Numbers 6:25-26 New Living Translation (NLT)
May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace. '
Proverbs 15:13-23 In-Context
13 A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day. 14 An intelligent person is always eager to take in more truth; fools feed on fast-food fads and fancies. 15 A miserable heart means a miserable life; a cheerful heart fills the day with song.
We make God happy when we honor Him.
Too often we remember the verses about being God's friend and approaching Him boldly, but forget that we also need to revere Him. We forget what an awesome and holy God He is. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding.
Studying the Bible, meditating on it and praying about it are keys to gaining deeper understanding of His will. God's will for us goes beyond just knowing what He wants. It involves doing “every good work”—working at maturing spiritually and becoming more like God (Matthew 5:48).
When we trust God and believe His word, it pleases His heart. It is really that simple. Enoch was a man that pleased God. Heb 11:5 “By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: 'He could not be found, because God had taken him away.
Do you really want to know what makes God smile? Three of them are mentioned in today's Bible reading: kindness, justice, and righteousness. God says, “In these I delight” (Jeremiah 9:24, NIV). In other words, when God sees kindness, he is delighted.
Three times in the Book of Psalms (Psalm 2:4; 37:13; 59:8) we read that God shall laugh. The word "laugh" does not mean what we usually think of today as laughing with "joy" or "making a joke of." It always means, "to hold in derision — to mock or to scorn."
We Are Precious and Honored in His Eyes
In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God's eyes, we are precious and honored.
He sees you in the Beloved—He sees you in Christ, and He sees the blood that has been shed for you by His dear Son. When God looks at you today, He sees Jesus. Because of this, His thoughts toward you are thoughts of loving-kindness, forgiveness, blessings, and favor.
So how do we know God is pleased with us? We accept his Son, Jesus. We acknowledge that he is the only Way, Truth, and Life, and that we can in no way earn our salvation. When we accept this truth and declare it, God is pleased because he now sees us through the blood of his Son.
Loving kindness, justice and righteousness make Him happy. God not only delights in these things, but does them! God not only delighted in loving kindness, justice and righteousness. He delights in them now.
God laughs at those who set themselves against his anointed (Psalm 59:8). And when he laughs, he does so for our sake, to communicate to us. He laughs to give off signals — signals that are horrible to his enemies and wonderful to his friends. The most memorable instance is Psalm 2.
1. : a facial expression in which the eyes brighten and the corners of the mouth curve slightly upward and which expresses especially amusement, pleasure, approval, or sometimes scorn. : a pleasant or encouraging appearance.
Smiling increases mood-enhancing hormones while decreasing stress-enhancing hormones, including cortisol, and adrenaline. It also reduces overall blood pressure. And because you typically smile when you're happy, the muscles used trigger your brain to produce more endorphins—the chemical that relieves pain and stress.
A smile brightens up all those around us; it makes our lives happier. Relieves stress. Smiling saves us from appearing tired, worn down, and overwhelmed – all of which increase our internal stress levels.
Smiling releases endorphins, natural painkillers, and serotonin, three neurotransmitters that make us feel good from head to toe. These natural chemicals elevate our mood, relax our body and reduce physical pain. Consider smiling a natural drug.
The things most likely to put a smile on people's faces include seeing loved ones, having a lie in - and getting likes on social media.
And remember that you are special because God created you and loves you unconditionally. In his eyes you are significant; you are his treasure. Through Jesus you can find safety, security and a sense of belonging. The Bible promises that nothing can separate you from God's love (Romans 8:38-39).
When you read the Word of the Lord, He uses it to scrub and scour away your fears, your laziness, your doubts, and your sinful ways. God uses His Word to transform you into a woman of divine power who reflects His beauty. This is what makes a woman beautiful in God's eyes.
Instead, Micah listed out the three principles of what God asks of His people: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him.
What kind of heart is God looking for? Deuteronomy 10:16 says “God needs a circumcised heart”. We must therefore open our hearts to God by removing all reservations, coverings, secrets and unbelief. Only when we circumcise our hearts, can we be obedient and walk in the ways of the Lord.
