Alpha females share similar personality traits as their male counterparts, described by Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) as ENTJ (Extraversion, iNtuition, Thinking, Judgment). However, their expressions tend to be more subtle. Because they are not obvious, they often go undetected.
The MBTI types that are the most alpha: ENTJ.
Alpha. “An Alpha is a leader; she is self-assured, powerful and confident in everything she does,” says Spencer. “These personality types don't hold back, tending to steer the pack in friendships and powerfully lead their teams in work.
What does alpha female mean? An alpha female is a powerful and successful woman, often in a leadership role. Alpha females are often described as intimidating by men and women alike.
As we have seen, the most common personality type for women is ISFJ. The ISFJ personality type accounts for 19% of women - that's almost one fifth of all women!
For women, however, the rarest personality type is INTJ and ENTJ. Just 1% of women type as INTJ and ENTJ respectively. Among women, INFJ is only the third rarest personality type with approximately 2% of women categorized as INFJ.
ENTJ (0.9%) and INTJ (0.8%) are the least common MBTI personality types for women.
Alpha women are more social and outspoken than sigma women.
Alpha and sigma women share many of the same traits, but an alpha woman prefers to make her presence know. They are known as social butterflies, and they tend to command a room whenever they walk into it.
She's strong, independent, fierce and confident. She doesn't let others overpower her simply by being the best among everyone. She has a certain aura that oozes power and authority. And this alpha quality can make a woman irresistible and sexy.
The ESTP and Dominance
ESTPs ranked as being highly dominant according to the CPI™ tool. This isn't surprising as they are known for their confidence, assertiveness, and direct nature.
Enter the Confident Individualists: the “lone wolves” of the personality type spectrum. Much like a lone wolf in the wild, Confident Individualists are born of a social species, yet are much more self-sufficient than most of their kind.
Sensing (S) – Intuition (N)
Of all the Myers-Briggs dichotomies, Sensing and Intuition appear to be the least related to masculinity and femininity.
1. ESFJ. People who fit the ESFJ personality type can usually be recognized by their big hearts and kindly manner. ESFJs are warm and welcoming and their love of tradition means they value good old-fashioned manners highly.
The short answer: INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judgment) is the most complex Myers-Briggs Personality Type.
The INFP may be the toughest personality type of all for others to understand. They are seemingly easy-going and carefree, but when it comes to their values, they can become suddenly uncompromising.
Betas have less of a need for control, and they may have less interest in a leadership position than an Alpha would. In a group of women, the Alpha is the one who exerts power and influence through her ability to take charge of the conversation, while the Beta will tend to listen and support.
An alpha woman is confident in her intelligence, her drive, her abilities, and her end game. She refuses to be intimidated by others, regardless of their looks, achievements or success because she is too busy cutting her own pathway towards her goals.
An alpha woman wants a man who can simultaneously keep up with her and also lead. Whether it's where to eat dinner or which show to watch on Netflix, make the decisions. It may seem like she wants to be in control, but in truth, she needs a man who knows what he wants and can keep up with her.
In essence, an Alpha Female is most compatible with a man who contains a mixture of alpha and beta characteristics. The Alpha/Beta Male is strong, confident, and ambitious, but doesn't need to dominate or take over to the extent that another person is dismissed.
The ISFJ and Self-Acceptance
ISFJs ranked as having low self-acceptance according to the CPI™ tool. This may be largely because ISFJs are known for being cautious and careful, which may come across as self-doubting at times.
INTJ: One of The Rarest, Loneliest Personality Types [Introverts and Writing]
ISFPs are quiet, reserved types who like to focus their attention on people and the experiences they enjoy. They aren't typically big talkers unless someone they're talking about something deeply important to them or they're trying to empathize verbally with someone.
