Avoid alcohol, aspirin and anti-inflammatories for 48 hours. Heavy lifting, vigorous exercise and sex should be avoided for the first few weeks. The patient should be mobile and take gentle walks in order to aid circulation. Stitches will need to be removed after 1-2 weeks, depending on how well the patient is healing.
After the procedure
In the first few days after a brow lift: Rest with your head elevated and take pain medication as recommended by your provider. Apply cold compresses to relieve swelling. Avoid exposing your incisions to excessive pressure or motion.
To minimize the swelling, sleep with your head elevated for 4 weeks after surgery. In the first 2-to-3 weeks after surgery, the brows may appear to be excessively elevated.
