“There are no concerns for food-drug interactions between pineapple juice and a statin,” says Dr. Manaktala. The same goes for the whole fruit. Any juice-statin interactions you may have heard about were probably related to grapefruit juice (more on that, below).

Pineapple Allergy Symptoms
The most common symptoms of a pineapple allergy are localized itching and hives. Very rarely does a pineapple allergy result in more severe symptoms such as anaphylaxis. Symptoms of anaphylaxis include difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat, loss of consciousness, and a drop in blood pressure.
If your tongue is still a burning fire, there's hope yet: Cooking the pineapple (grill it, roast it, or even blanch it) can remove most of the enzymes. Or pair the fruit with a creamy dairy product (yogurt, ice cream, crème fraîche).
Ease of digestion process:
Due to the presence of bromelain, it is best to help in the process of digestion effectively if you eat pineapple early in the morning.
One must be careful to not consume pineapples on empty stomach first thing in the morning as it can cause acidity. Dr Bhavsar also suggests the best time to eat the fruit for reaping maximum benefits. "Best time to have it: As a mid-morning snack (around 10-11 am) or an evening snack (Around 4:30 pm)," she says.
