Cumulative incidence of ADHD by race/ethnicity was highest for White children (eg, age 12 years: 14.19%; 95% CI, 13.79%-14.60% vs Black children, 11.76%; 95% CI, 10.63%-13.01%) and lowest for Asian children (6.08%; 95% CI, 5.25%-7.03%).
The CDC study, reported in March of this year, found overall, 14% of children 3-17 have ever been diagnosed with either ADHD or learning disability, including 17% of Black children, 15% of white children and 12% of Hispanic children. (See chart.)

Problems with emotional dysregulation, in particular with anger reactivity, are very common in people with ADHD. You are not alone in struggling in this area. Anger may indicate an associated mood problem but often is just part of the ADHD. Either way, changes in traditional ADHD treatment can be very helpful.
