For at least 24 hours, you'll want to avoid saunas, tanning beds, and even the gym. Wait for Sex: Give yourself about 2 days, or 24-48 hours, to recover from the wax before engaging in any sexual activity. Keep it Loose: Avoid tight and constricting clothing for a few days after your wax.
Don't exfoliate 24 hours to 48 hours prior to waxing to avoid irritation. (Though we absolutely encourage you to exfoliate a few times weekly in between wax appointments to keep skin soft.) Don't coat your body with lotions, potions, creams or any of the sort the day of your wax.
Do take a warm shower before waxing. This will help to open the pore for easy hair removal. Do relax during your waxing service, because tense muscles make the area more sensitive. Do not take extremely hot showers or sauna after waxing.
You will not have to get completely naked for a Brazilian wax. Of course, any clothing from the waist down will have to be removed, but anything from the waist up can stay on. One thing to suggest to your clients is adequate clothing to wear for their Brazilian wax.
NO hot shower or bath for at least 12 hours.
Directly after waxing your hair follicle is left open. This makes it susceptible hot water entering the open hair follicle during a shower or bath. This will irritate the area and create discomfort. Once your follicles close you can return to your normal bathing routine.
"Waxing opens your pores and makes the area more sensitive than usual," says Faris. Wearing too-tight pants afterward can cause a rash, so dress in your baggiest pants and go commando if you feel comfortable doing so.

An ingrown hair may appear about a week after waxing. Ingrown hairs occur when the hair grows and reinserts itself into the hair follicle. Ingrown hairs can cause itchy and sometimes painful bumps that often look like pimples on the skin. Without treatment, ingrown hairs can become infected.
Each person is different, which means that it will take longer for some clients to regulate their hair regrowth cycle. In the meantime, it's normal to get mild stubble or new hairs growing days after a wax, but leaving these hairs alone until the next wax appointment is always the best choice.
