In that movie, the twins say they gained their powers from an Infinity Stone called the mind Stone when Nazi offshoot HYDRA experimented on them. Since, Disney has purchased 20th Century Fox and, thus, the X-Men. So Wanda now can be either X-Man or superhuman or, I suppose, a witch.
No. Wanda powers are her own, the mind stone kept them from dying out and likely amplified them but they didn't give her her powers.
It was Hydra's Baron von Strucker who first gave Wanda her powers by experimenting on her with the Mind Stone, so it would stand to reason that Wanda could tap into it again to give herself additional powers.
Wanda and her brother Pietro had gained their superpowers after being experimented on by Baron von Strucker using the Mind Stone in Loki's Scepter.
The orange magic in Doctor Strange was a result of borrowing energy from other, non-dark dimensions. And Wanda's magic is red because, well, she's the Scarlet Witch!
The Reality Stone is absent of Chaos Magic, but its power can scale up to what Chaos Magic is capable of achieving. Within both the MCU and Marvel Comics, there is currently no force that can rival the strength of Chaos Magic.
The source of Wanda's unnatural abilities stem from a two-fold base; unparalleled mastery of actual magic and an innate power to warp reality. Due to exposure to mystic energies and forces at an early age, Wanda may reshape reality to various extremes.
A few weeks later, Wanda Maximoff used her Chaos magic to create a new Mind Stone, embedded in the head of a recreated Vision. However, the Stone was erased from existence when Maximoff ended the Hex.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Wanda had to hold Thanos off just long enough for her to destroy Vision's stone. Not only was she able to destroy an infinity stone with just her power alone, but was able to hold Thanos at bay even as he passed five of the six Infinity Stones.
She's told to touch it, even though we hear a scientist say that not one subject has survived direct contact. But Wanda does, and the blue casing around the stone explodes, revealing the Mind Stone's actual orange color as on Vision's forehead.
Natalya Maximoff (Earth-616)
Wanda's abilities are so strong that they seem to be more effective than the Reality Stone, which didn't appear to affect anything permanently when used by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
The Mind Stone (Loki's scepter)
The Mind Stone allows the user to control the minds of others. We first see it as a blue orb in Loki's scepter in 2012's The Avengers. Whenever Loki touches someone with the scepter, he can control what they do.
Perhaps the most obvious character that was more powerful than the Scarlet Witch was the One Above All, who acted as the "god" of the Marvel universe.
Black Bolt could practically level an entire planet with one scream, so it would interesting to see how Wanda would handle such a powerful force coming her way. It is easy to think Wanda's abilities would find a way, but there is always the chance that Black Bolt could overwhelm her enough to destroy her in a fight.
Wanda was still a formidable adversary, capable of tipping the scales in favor of Ultron (James Spader) or the Avengers, depending on who she was helping. Still, without her Chaos Magic from Marvel Comics, Wanda was not more powerful than Thor or Hulk.
However, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch's candidacy is thrown for a loop. That's because the film reaffirms the angry version of Wanda wouldn't have been able to kill Thanos.
The Verdict: Scarlet Witch Is Stronger Than Captain Marvel
There's no denying that the Scarlet Witch can't hold a candle to Captain Marvel in terms of raw physical strength. That said, Wanda has an edge due to Chaos Magic and her reality-warping abilities.
Captain Marvel is the most powerful and powerful Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Her incredible powers and determination have made her a valuable member of the Avengers.
Thus, if Wanda ever wanted to lift Thor's hammer, she could simply use her Chaos Magic to negate the original spell Odin placed on Mjolnir so that anyone (including herself) could lift it.
The Rhythm Stone didn't actually have any powers. Unlike the rest of the real Infinity Stones, the Rhythm Stone couldn't be combined with the others, provide a power boost, or change reality.
Wanda Maximoff (better known as her superhero alter-ego, the Scarlet Witch) is arguably the most powerful sorcerer/magic user in the entire Marvel Universe. The Scarlet Witch's magic abilities are practically limitless, ranging from mind control or creating illusions to full-on telekinesis and shooting hex bolts.
