Jacob Black is a shape-shifter or "werewolf" of the Quileute tribe, former Beta of the Uley pack, and Alpha of his own. In Twilight, he is fifteen years old, and in New Moon, he phases into a wolf for the first time at the age of sixteen.
Jacob Black was offered the leadership when he also phased, but he refused. Jacob later became the Alpha of his own pack after an argument between him and Sam. Traditionally, the Alpha of the pack is the leader of the entire Quileute tribe.
Jacob Black is a character in the Twilight book series by Stephenie Meyer. He is described as an attractive Native American of the Quileute tribe in La Push, near Forks, Washington. In the second book of the series, New Moon, he discovers that he is a therianthrope who can shapeshift into a wolf.
HE'S NOT ACTUALLY A WEREWOLF
Several Twilight fans still mistakenly refer to Jacob Black as a werewolf, but in Breaking Dawn, it was revealed that there's a significant difference between true Children of the Moon and the shape-shifting Quileute wolves.
Wolf form: Jacob's wolf form is that of a large russet brown wolf. He has equivalent abilities to his brothers. He is shown to be very intelligent in both reasoning and coordinating others. He is the largest and strongest wolf in the pack.
Charlie Swan (Human)
Even without sharing any of the vampire, or shape-shifter, abilities, Charlie Swan comes in on our list of major characters because he is one of the most important ones in the franchise. But since he is only a human, he is the weakest, by far.
Taha Aki, the first shape-shifter in the Quileute tribe.
His wife, Sarah Black, died in a car accident when Rachel, Rebecca, and Jacob were young. He resides in La Push, Washington, and is confined to a wheelchair due to complications from diabetes.
Edward's got the upperhand in mind reading and MAYBE speed, while Jacob's got the upperhand in overall strength. I said that Edward might have the upperhand in speed but might not, because although he's the fastest Cullen, werewolves are faster than vampires in general, and it's not like Jacob's slow at all.
In Breaking Dawn, the arrival of the Denali, the Volturi, and others caused more werewolves to unintentionally emerge, increasing the packs' numbers and becoming the biggest in Quileute history. While Jacob's father Billy Black isn't a werewolf, he still helped with the fight in his own way.
Because Jacob has imprinted with Renesmee, Edward breaks Jacob's arm and throws him at a wall to keep him away from fighting the other werewolves.
In human form he is notably faster than any human being, but still not nearly as fast as he is in his wolf form. Before phasing, the human form will build up their muscles naturally and will be ready for the first time they phase. Jacob is known as the physically strongest in both packs, though not as fast as Leah.
Jacob will live as long as he keeps phasing and he won't stop as long as Ren is alive. So technically he CAN live forever but he could also be killed by a vampire, another wolf-shifter or Ren could die by one of those and Jacob would stop phasing and die of old age.
A pack of wolves usually comprises a dominant (alpha) pair; an individual or a couple following in importance, and most likely to replace the current alphas (referred to as the beta pair); next in line, are individuals in the middle ranks, these are followed by one or more wolves of the lowest (omega) rank.
Jacob Black imprinted on Renesmee Cullen, the daughter of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, at birth in Book 2 of Breaking Dawn. Jacob was initially in love with Bella, but she chose Edward and gave birth to Renesmee, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid.
While some fans believe that Leah fell in love with or imprinted on Jacob during Breaking Dawn, Stephenie Meyer has stated this isn't true. This would simply have made their interactions too complicated, since she started out disliking Jacob, then they gain a "friendly" understanding.
Science has failed us. Who could have guessed, in an analysis of the hotness of a vampire and a werewolf? Thus we rely on the experts in the field (here defined as posters on the various message boards, blogs and the like). A casual survey reveals a majority finding that Edward is prettier but Jacob is brawnier.
Carlisle's gift is an elevated sense of compassion that allows him to resist human blood. He is able to bite (in order to turn them) people without succumbing to the frenzy and killing them.
He would most probably die depending on how severe it was. Jacob said in Eclipse that if a vampire bit him, or one of the other shape-shifter, it wouldn't kill him, but if he already had a cut of something to that affect(combined with the venom) that could be fatal.
Achilles' weakness is mortal—that of a finite man confronted by the heartlessness of fate and the gods. Jacob's weakness is moral—that of a finite man who seeks to supplant the living God.
The son of a clergyman obsessed with rooting out all evil, Carlisle was bitten during a vampire hunt. After becoming a vampire, Carlisle learned to hunt animals so that he would not have to feed on humans.
It is eventually revealed that she was born around 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was committed to an asylum because she had premonitions. Alice was transformed by an old vampire who worked at the asylum to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her.
Remember Nahuel that Alice/Jasper brought to the clearing? He was around 150y. From the official guide that SM wrote & released: "once a werewolf transforms, his aging speeds up until he reaches the age of maturity, roughly twenty-five. At this point, as long as he continues to phase, he remains at that age.
Jasper is the youngest vampire in the Cullen pack so he has the hardest time resisting human blood.
